got this just for the removal of the mood debuff on allies... that was so dumb they put that in. I mean does it "HATE" it's allies?

@JD - You need to add Biotech to the dependency flags in the about file. Don't rely on "load after" for required mods/DLC - that is more for mods that may have an impact, but don't actually stop the mod working

I can't seem to resurrect mechanoids using the Apocriton, sadge. I assume VFE conflict somewhere

@Mehelios, it usually means the bill isn’t set up right. Make sure the corpse is within range of the gestator and that the correct type is selected in the bill. If that looks fine, it may be a conflict with another mod. To test: disable all other mods, start a new game, enable god mode, and check if it works with only my mod active. Updated FAQ.

Feature request: "Resurrect until you have X"

Without this mod, I would just leave resurrection bills on "Do forever" and manually retire mechs as needed, but with this mod I have to manually select what to resurrect and when to avoid eating up my bandwidth with militors, scorchers, and pikemen.

With this mod, I would like to set resurrect bills for individual combat mechs so I'll automatically replenish the squads without overdoing it. Perhaps this mod could add a resurrect option for each gestate option to get around the "multiple or unpredictable" restriction of "until you have X."

@JCLKingu Honestly, the Hate Aura patch is the most difficult and annoying part of the mod. Another way to achieve what you want is to modify Kraltech Industries, it should be much easier, imo.

Like how would be possible to make how this mod works with the hate aura that disables it with colonists while affecting enemies the same with the dreadful aura.

@JD No, I think I explained myself wrong, what I was refering to was to make that mech's dreadful aura not work on my colonists and allies but do so with enemies so I can have that mech as one of my own.

@JCLKingu I haven't played RimWorld for a while, but IIRC Hate Aura is a psychological ability, I mean it doesn't affect mechs in general.

First of all I love this mod as it pairs with any that adds new mechanoids, now I tried editing the source code of the mod so the hate aura patch works on the supreme apocriton of kraltech industries and its balanced version even though its not meant to be an allied mechanoid, but I don't really know how to program in c# so I had no luck, can someone guide me on how to do so?

i cant seem to be able to resurrect the Apocriton and also the Caretaker from Reinforced Mechanoid 2 (Continued) dosent work i dont know why
it only says Cannot resurrect ultraheavy mechanoid: Missing 1x corpses

@Mismagius Okay so yeah the fault lies with VFE: Mechanoids. VFEM applies a patch if it detects biotech installed which adds a duplicate, playable version of the enemy mechanoids along with their creation recipes, rather than, say, modifying the original versions of the mechanoids to make them player-controllable. My guess as to why it's done this way is because the VFEM's mechanoids are their own custom class, and the mod author wanted to take advantage of Biotech's updated mechanoid system. Euuurrrgghhh.

@Mismagius I've noticed this issue too with a lot of VFE mechanoids. In fact, as far as shredding mechanoids goes, I've found there's a bunch of duplicates. Additionally, with my modlist, I've found I have the option of spawning in a player-controlled or non-player-controlled variant of most if not all VFE mechs. So, I think we get the wrong version of the VFE mech, but that doesn't explain why there's two versions or how I get the game to default to spawning in the player-controllable version.

can't seem to Resurrect advanced mechanoids from the factions expanded mechanoids even though its in the details of Resurrecting a mechanoid. and when i try to force my pawn to Resurrect one, i get "need materials"

ah I think I see the issue. The apocriton can ressurect mechs but only if they die near it or maybe if it sees them die. I was able to ressurect one scyther but not the other scyther or fabricor.

I'm having trouble getting my apocriton to ressurect my mechs. When I use the ability I can't select any mechs to res. Tested with a fabricor that wandered a bit too close to a mech hive and a scyther.

[FSF] FrozenSnowFox Tweaks has an option to give subcores from shredded mechanoids, if that's what you're asking. However, it only works on vanilla mechanoids

Can someone make a mod where you can salvage damaged cores from dead hostile mechanoids and repair them, cuz in base rimworld it's really hard to get your hands on even standard subcores, if you're lucky, you might be able to capture prisoners from raids, but then they have no functioning legs and this bugs out the game pretty bad

I think the Apocriton has fair boundaries I just wish there was a standalone mod to build it as well. 9830 makes some good points but I feel resurrecting a destroyed enemy mechanoid should cost more resources. Maybe like, a quarter of the original cost of building the mechanoid, and a core. Also, resurrecting them happens much quicker than gestating them. The Diabolus for example takes 3 days, meanwhile it's 21 days to gestate, spare interruptions.

That's a good point, I thought about it a couple of times and maybe I will return it. On the other hand, the mod is not the one to blame, it doesn't resurrect anything on its own.

That's not what's broken about this mod. what's broken is being able to resurrect powerful mechs LONG before you ought to be able to have that type of mech. As an example, the first Diabolus fight is pee easy.

Well, if you think about it, to get an Apocriton you need to build a mechband dish, then you need to kill the Apocriton and other mechs that come with it, I mean you have put in some effort, it's a pretty fair trade.

I wish there were a standalone version to craft an Apocriton of your own and have it have the functionality this mod adds to player-controlled Apocriton(IE make the resurrect work properly) but without the somewhat broken ability to resurrect enemy mechs.

I like the changes and idea of resurrecting the Aprocriton however I feel more should go into resurrecting enemy mechanoids. Obviously I can't assume that'd happen with this mod, I just wish there were more options for a player controlled Aprocriton, as far as I can see this is the only mod that impliments a player controlled version (aside from using dev commands obviously)

@Rinem, @Kezzan If you mean that the recipes to resurrect mechs from these mods are missing then these recipes should be added by the dev of these mods.
