You can fix the issues with progressive diseases by making all of them size 2, which prevents a hero from contracting a second one of the progressive type, but no size 1 diseases, since a hero may only have 3 diseases.

Thank you for the assistance. I had tried taking them into a mission and curing them with a miraculous herb. I said cured, but they still had the disease icon, and it still crashed with I tried to open the panel. I'll try the fix you put out, and thank you again! I'll post again with the outcome.

In the meantime, for anyone dealing with this hero panel crash issue, I've created a "compatibility" version of the mod that strips the evolving diseases into dummy quirks with a warning string. You should be able to swap out this mod for the compatibility version, cure the hero, then swap back without issue. If you're using a combination of mods that cause this issue, however, I recommend keeping the compatibility version of the mod until I've updated this one, to ensure that you don't end up in the same situation.

I haven't done any testing to see how safe removing the mod is, but I don't expect it to be a problem. All the mod does is add the new diseases to the quirk pool, so the only thing that might break if its removed is heroes that currently have one of the diseases.
Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately this mod does have issues with other mods that add evolving diseases. I've received similar reports about a few popular mods, so I'm going to try to solve these issues soon.

Is this relatively safe to remove mod game? I have a disease (can't see what one) that causes a crash every time I try and open the pawn info page, or when I drag them to the sanitarium to cure it. I don't have much else that adds diseases, so I think it's an incompatibility with this one. I noticed from another mod (evolving diseases) that that one was incompatible with one of the Here Be Monsters. I have all of those. I'd like to remove this and troubleshoot, but this is a streamed save, and I don't want to lose it.

I don't hit any errors running the mod without any DLCs enabled, so I assume its fine. This mod doesn't interact with any content exclusive to the DLCs so I suspect it would work, but I have done minimal testing without them. My guess is some strings may be broken.
