Overall this is very much a "one and done" God. You have one gameplay loop and you play it on repeat for 400 turns before you start spamming your final power until the map is dead. I would consider changing how Reality Anchors work (maybe make them more powerful in localized areas instead of global effects, so the player has to work to break down the Anchors if they are near spots he wants to release void at) to make the game at least a bit more interactive, because right now they just plain don't impact things enough and you're better off just expanding your tears and making flytraps for heroes rather than ever waiting for the cumulative effects of the growth to have any impact

I wish the Reality Anchors worked differently because all they functionally do is slightly slow your whole gameplay globally with not much opportunity for counterplay given the sheer agent focus you need to pour into getting your voids up. You're simply not going to do much against a series of Reality Anchors opening up on the other side of the map. Maybe you'll throw a plague in the middle of the map and try to have it keep pace with the Awareness spread so cities will be too busy and poor to worry about Reality Anchors, but the majority of the time I just completely ignored them because they didn't impact anything enough.

No flame but I honestly didn't have much fun playing as this god. It really felt like the entire game was just spending 400 turns setting up to spam your last Power and just plunge the whole world into darkness, which is something of a power fantasy I guess, but it just felt really boring because turns 1-400 were all the same; hard focus one city to establish a void, interrupt heroes as they try to stop you as you expand it as quickly as possible, repeat. It gets especially dumb if you use the Spellbinder with her permanent disruption talent; just bring a bundle of void stones to any province you want, get an expensive enshadow off or blast it with destruction, open your tears and start spamming expand while the Spellbinder spams Disrupt traps

@SnickeringSnaussages Shadow doesn't grow over time, just like in the base game. The power in question is just a "less effective, infiltration-free" Enshadow. Also the Great Wound, shadowwise, is suppose to behave like an elder tomb. The nature mod just makes the wilderness more enshadow-able in general.

I might have a fundamental misunderstanding of shadow, but I sacrificed two stones to get a location to 30% and it stayed there. Why wasn't it growing?

The Living Void softlocks when it breaks the 8th or 9th seal. A power is missing a description and the broken seal notice can't be dismissed.

seals break every turn, only 4 or 5 powers? I couldn't find where the mod folder saves it on local files. anyone got it to work?

i don't know why but the seals of my gods are at 1 each turn so the god awoke turn 7.

Getting that error too. Surfed through the crash log to see if I could find anything, but didn't really gleam too much. I think the Unity console didn't direct me to the actual source of the issue.

I get 'Power name goes here' with the description 'Power desc goes here it can be multiple lines long' at seal 8, with the error 'KeyNotFoundException: The given key 'vacuum.void_power_seed.png' was not present in the dictionary.'

Hi, I've encountered a bug that crashes the game. Seems to be caused by military escorts following heroes into awakened void tiles. I have a save file that will crash when doing nothing but ending the turn, but throwing an agent at the offending hero+escort stack will cause them to re-route and avoid the void, which ends up not crashing the game.

@Ashtero Thanks for the report! I've tried duplicating this bug on my end and I don't know what it is. As to the radius having to be the same, yes. Every time you cast Vacuum Collapse, the internal 'collapse radius' ticks up, so newly spawned World Rupture can suddenly catch up.

I too had a bug with crash on using Vacuum Collapse. Some observations:

In this game the first two casts were ok, bug happened on the third one. (Maybe something to do with me opening another World Rupture in the meantime?)

Bug persisted over reload and restart.

However, when I waited one more turn, casting succeeded.


On the side note, is the radius of Vacuum Collapse effect supposed to be the same for all World Ruptures? After casting it, my newest rupture went immediately from "elven capital used to be here" to "half of the northern continent used to be here".

@Oonai Right, aware rulers will make anchors and the Chosen One will try to close rifts. It's recommended to ignore anchors unless they're right on top of a prospective rift, and to instead use devastation and shadow to outpace them. Treat the CO closing rifts similar to their Redeem Sovereign; its their big ultimate power to mess up your plans: how do you stop it?

sorry, I have a question because this god mechanics eludes me. Its supossed that I make rifts late game or what, becuase even using full shadow, devastation (wich triggers a lot of word panic) and soetimes magic locus the chosen one comes to close it and the nations makes anchors, and even if i drive the chosen one insane he keeps trying to close the rift. What Im doing wrong? how is supossed this god to be played?

@Alvaro4071 Glad you're enjoying it! Sadly I don't know what's causing it for certain; the debug log doesn't contain information re: the crash, which makes it harder to pin down.

Hi, firstly i want to say i find your mod very good ! Very inventive and quite smart made (the idea to add a "new world" tenet to religions that makes them opening rifts in their temples made me win the game by itself !
I'm just having a quite problematic bug : when i use the final power "vacuum colapse" the game crashe without any warning. Any idea of where it's coming from ?

@Masked Moth Basically, your game didn't update correctly. Steam sometimes gets funky so you have to go into the subscribed workshop items folder, delete the one with Living Void's stuff, and then have Steam re-upload it.

for anyone interested, I found that adding "1.0" to the versionsSupported line of the mod_desc file seems to work. Haven't done extensive testing, but I haven't gotten any errors starting a game as the god and playing a couple of turns. in comparison, I also tried this with the flesh god mod and it came back with lots of errors.

Played a few matches and they were fun, but I had a tough match where orcs spawned on top of most of the geomantic loci, making them useless, as you cannot plant a voidstone in an orc camp.
