Not bad I enjoyed it. Yeah that one nodraw bug was a tad annoying, but only slightly. It felt like i played a really condensed Black Mesa version of Fallout 3's main story but in a good way. :steamhappy:

It was arlight, couldn't find the revolver anywhere and the combat felt a bit punishing due to a lack of ammunition and frequent enemies, node graph being broken didn't help much either.
Biggest complaint was the lack of music was a bit painfui and awkward.

This map has a good combat flow although at the end it starts to get a little too hectic. The thing I liked the least was the room with the nodraw ceiling. All that said it was a decent first map.

(Hey there - I'm Kralich, the organisation lead for this competition. I'll be leaving a little paragraph on each entry with my notes and opinion in lieu of posting on Discord given the nature of this competition.)

JUDGE'S NOTES: This entry was average - the idea of looking for your father was a different goal than a lot of other entries (which essentially just go for "escape the map"), and so I appreciate a little bit of narrative throughline in this one. Navigation was fine, telegraphing too, and the combat was fine enough, but I feel this map lacked a creative touch - beyond the narrative line, there wasn't anything this map did that made it stand out visually or mechanically. You've got the basics under control - next time you make a map, I'd encourage you to think of a unique hook special to your level and run with it. Experiment! Better to leap and fall short since it'll make a more memorable experience in the end.
