This is the best armor mod I've come across, feels pretty vainilla and in tone with the game ty author

This mod is wonderful! I do have a question though: Is there a way to change the color of the oni face on the banner? The white on the cloth is hard to see. I love the mod and this is the one minor issue I have with it.

Ok I have to delete this. It causes critical problems with mercs. Not sure if it just messes with my other mods but ever since I got this the new mercs wearing the new armor RUN INTO THE EARTH NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!

The armor looks amazing. The best looking in the game in terms of lore friendly. However are the stats correct?? This is the WORST stat armor a merc can wear??

I would like to also see a full samurai armor version from you (e.g. for UC) because IMO the merc armor looks a bit more authentic than original Kenshi samurai armor - still post-apocalyptic without colorful details of historical Japanese armor but also without weirdly placed armor plates.

may i request a version of the armor with Sode and more leg protection?
a lot of japanese armors had the tassets overlap and go down lower on the thigh

I feel like I should let people know that the legplates (skirt more like it) are compatible with nudity mods. The leg plates add in a thong-like underwear that are the same colour as vanilla underwear, so they're normally invisible without a nudity mod.

If I could make a suggestion to Cat, can you add in an item that is JUST the thong? I like to role play sometimes as a ♥♥♥♥♥ warrior, kinda like an old time Viking or barbarian.

@Quilava, I am not sure what you mean by base samurai model? But I currently dont have much time to model and implement things into kenshi as it is a time consuming process

It been a year already and still no samurai armor base on this model, i need really need some samurai armor base on this armor model to flex on tho scummy UC Samurai who keep planing drug in my bag to make me spit out money for em

@MizKai, the armor is based on a post apocalyptic style. Main inspiration was taken from samurai bandits that were just poor and wore what armor they could find and nothing else.

@Loki Dishonored I made the armor weaker than samurai armor on purpose. I believe that wasteland mercs would not be as a strong as an entire army supported by an emperor or some lord

Why are the stats on this armor so bad? Somehow this armor gives more debuffs than full Samurai armor, and makes mercenarys substantially under powered. Looks cool but the armor itself is useless stat wise

this is cool, one thing that bothers me is the lower ranking mercs wears only less armor or no clothes. like ♥♥♥♥♥ and only chainarm or pauldrons with their underwear.. hope u add them some clothes... specially female.. cuz they looks like they wear bikinis and few armor. like fantasy bikini armor.. for men. well the men looks fine if they don't wear top clothes and a few covering pad. but for the female is different.. it is fine if u don't rework it.

@EzePz I also had the same issue as you. I installed Genesis and Legendary of Kenshi + Genesis Patch, and by moving these three mods to the top of the load order, the merc research finally appeared! Maybe this is your issue?

@EzePz, did you research everything already? I am not sure why it would be empty. Do you have some kind of research overhaul mod?

@cat question, in the research tab, Cat's Clothing is empty in the Blueprints section. Not really sure what i'm doing wrong

@Buddy, yes this does require an import. It should be compatible. This armor is made by me, does not edit base game files.

Does this mod require an import? Also, is it compatible with the mercenary plate fix mod (the one that switches mercs from wearing samurai armour to wearing merc plate)?

@rappdgart, there are no blueprints for this armor, you need to research it at a research bench. It should be in a category called Cat's Clothing

I can't find these armors and blueprints in any shop, although I do see them being worn by mercenaries. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? I already imported my save.

@Saxon, color is depends on the faction. The only way to change it for yourself is get some kind of faction color changer mod.

This mod is good, i love the model, best samurai armor mod by far for me that doesnt look too clean or too rusty, but the pant armor dont have any pant that look kinna ... "unprotected", will you add more version with pant later on?

Could you maybe add that crate from the concept art as a backpack? Maybe something with a x2 or x4 stack multiplier, I think depending on the weight of the crate itself (I would gues about 5-10 kilos) something about 40% weight reduction rate would be fair, less than most other backpacks so it's more suited for the "mule" of the group who doesn't do much fighting or just has higher stats to deal with the negatives of it.

Open helmet has more negativ value than closed helmet..
-I get the idea of "worse" than Samurai armor.. but it gotta be based in logic also.

I am just gonna edit it my self.
But maybe lower the defence stats and lower the negativ values.

-20 Perception on an open helmet.
-10 on a Closed Helmet.. Um? Maybe just swap them. (I know, I will)

Also Full Helmet Samurai weight is more or less the same as the open light version.. Cheap armor is often light.. so. But not always.

So yeah I Love the idea of not OP gear.. but please take a closer look on the stats on some

Heavy Plate legs cover 20% while boots take 40%..
They more or less should be the same in my book. As they cover more or less same amount of skin. (I see legs flying a lot..)

But again this is not Criticism.

Love the gear so much I more or less use it every play now hehe...

@ORC, I made them less stronger than samurai gear because they are supposed to be cheaply made armor thats better than rags and raider armor but not as good as full plated boots or faction armor. I can look at increasingly the mobility of the shoes though.

Why not make the shoes a little stronger? I'm not convinced that mobility is less mobile than samurai shoes.
But they are beautiful.
