Mark my words. I shall inherit the legacy of the Lovecraftian stellaris mods. It may be in a few days, weeks, months, or perhaps years, but I will craft a mod that will injects creeping, crawling horrors beyond comprehension into the flesh of the game.

it saddens me too but i just cannot keep up with all the dlcs and constant updates, and i've decided to move onto projects that give me more freedom although idk if i'm allowed to advertise it here even though i'm in the process of getting a steam page for it

yea this mod is pretty glitchy honestly, although i am sad to announce that i dont think this mod will be developed further considering that i lost all the files i had worked on since my computer literally exploded on me, stellaris is expecting a massive update that would require me to essentially start over and the fact that i've honestly really been enjoying working with unreal engine compared to the horror that is the clausewitz engine

Honestly i LOVE a lot of this. The idea of the blasphemy perk/event chain is sick as hell(the relic is a big plus)
The biggest problems are all unintentional bugs, like acquiring the blasphemous pact while a colony is developing resulting in a small sub-population of pops with a permanent version of the blasphemer trait with the negative modifiers, or every total/extermination war being named 'the war of the congealing' even though i'm *pretty* certain neither of them are doing the congealing thing, or The Visitor's situation sticking around for centuries after his death taking up space in the sitlog and outliner

the mod has been updated, the Cosmic Transmitter is now out for you to experience! I deeply apologize for the huge delay it took to finish this event chain, work has been particularly intense and the elden ring dlc came out so that took like all of my time for the past 2 months. plus for the next 3 weeks i wont be able to work on the mod at all, so i just speedran a few bug fixes and finishing touches to put it out before im unavailable again, so im gonna be real the Cosmic Transmitter might have some glitches, if there are then pls inform me and i'll fix it as soon as possible, with all that, enjoy

Is there a way to remove the Visitor's Mark? I tried terraforming the planet to a Gaia world but the mark stayed. So now I have a Gaia world with a zero habitability rating.

Plz rework this fuckass visitor whenever you feel like it, I know spaghetti code can be AIDS but just something like every 2 decades or more you get some Spooky Knocking event again and you just have to build shrines on the rest of your planets, doubly annoying because Im in a civil war right now and the enemy destroying the shrines immediately curses the planet. Kind of cool but erghhg

Been playing with this mod a bit, very fun. I have been noticing that the traits show up pretty often though, it seems like almost every other species is a Shadowspawn or Shambling Mass or has a Broken Spirit. Might need to be weighted a to show up a bit less? Just my thought.

not really, it basically turns your empire into a completly new thing, different playstyle very very different from other empires where basically your only focus will be military and occasionaly causing a disaster or two, or three, or four, more like a billion to be honest

yes when you become the Congealing your country changes radically, your focus will be completly on being the crisis once you do that and yes the Great Decay is a form of crisis like the Visitor but not one you can survive, it's meant to put a softcap on a game essentially since the galaxy will begin crumbling on itself

I absolutely love this mod, am also hyped that there may be future machine content for this! Planning to do a hive run with this mod and do the congealing, also noticed that there are now relics and Ec-Tu. If I were to undergo the congealing, does it do any country change or stuff? Also, is Ec-Tu and the Great Decay a crisis like The Visitor?

well most of the actual event chains in the mod are only triggered if you allow them to at the start through a few pop ups so you could get the mod for the traits and then just disable all of the rest like the Visitor and stuff, as for a 3.9.2 version, sorry but i dont have any plans on doing that, tho idk why you'd really wanna play on an older version ngl

Not really sure I want to use this mod (not a fan of horror, but some of the traits look cool) but I'm on 3.9.2 right now and can't find out to decide for myself. Any chance of a trait-only and/or 3.9.2-compatible version? Or is this most likely a mod conflict?

it is possible, there's an ending to it, but i'd rather keep the surprise of the stuff that happens later on, only the strongest can survive (you're not meant to survive and well, you wont but you can see the end of it)

Is it possible to have a breakdown of events during "The Great Decay" curious to see what the full event chain is but it is really difficult to stay alive lol

yea they can get the traits, though i made sure they cant get some of the event-specific traits like Blasphemous, but you might very well see eternal agony-shadowspawn plants once in a while
