Where should I put this in the order list? Currently I put it in the top, after all vanilla plugin and before any other mods. It semi work. The raiders got custom duration when they commit crime, but when they downed the guilt revert back to 24 hours.

Thanks to your mod I was able to set up automatic release of prisoners after their term of guilt expires! This is great! But could you add a more flexible setting, for example, so that when accusing through the court it would also be possible to set up what term of guilt the pawn would have. And also add a setting so that for different violations there would be different terms of guilt.

Hooray!

updated!

Will this be updated to 1.6? Missing this mod from my modlist greatly!

@Selen, do you manage to make this mod work flawlessly? I too have the same experience of guilt duration reset when downed. But it only happens to any modded knockdown mechanic, like RH Hand to Hand CQC, Melee Animation. I don't use Alpha Genes either
borsk 11. mar. kl. 1:42
in case someone in the distant future encounters the same issue: try putting this mod at the top of the mod list. That's what made it work for me
borsk 5. mar. kl. 7:27
doesn't seem to be working in my (tiny) mod list either. I'm not using alpha genes, so it must be something different
Selen 8. jan. kl. 20:25
tobiaslarsson87 in 2023 stated that Alpha Genes caused such behavior. I am also using Alpha Genes... Is it possible that the issue still persist? Is it possible to resolve it?
Selen 8. jan. kl. 10:45
Disregard my previous statement.
Default raders when downed get vanilla 24h guilt duration.
Colonists that misbehave get modded guilt duration.
I don't even know anymore...
Selen 8. jan. kl. 9:45
Same as Katie. I didn't delete anything, just added a couple new mods, but it seems to be working well now somehow.

Where / How do I set the guilt-duration?

Also, it would be nice if it could be appleied retroactively onto already captured (still guilty, but 1 day duration) pawns, so the guilt period can be extended.

as an update: i deleted all my mod settings (the config folder) and now it works, so it must have been a setting i had toggled. i've changed my other mods settings to what they usually are & it's still working, so maybe i had an old incompatible config lying around somewhere. anyway, thanks flango!

I thought this wasn't working, but it works with no other mods in my list (except harmony). Now to find the conflict, aaah
Selen 29. dec. 2024 kl. 6:34
Same what Makk said, i get vanilla 24 hours no matter what.
mynameactually 27. nov. 2024 kl. 21:30
Someone should make a mod that make a "release when no longer guilty" mod to pair with this.
Makk 11. okt. 2024 kl. 7:10
The minor update might broke this mod i got now the vanilla 24 hours for few days.
Graveyard Shift 11. aug. 2024 kl. 5:58
I love this mod so much, thank you!
Wiseman05 5. juni 2024 kl. 3:23
Thank god for this mod. I've currently got a setting from either Tweaks Galore, Niilos QoL, or FSF's Tweaks where pawns don't go down immediately (kind of like Death Rattle), and it makes capturing raiders a lot easier. The problem is, my prisons get full, and I can't execute them fast enough when they're guilty, and I don't want to risk another raid ransoming them back. I use this mod to set their guilt to 15 days, and voila! A whole season of prisoner executions!
nhatanh0475 28. apr. 2024 kl. 10:07
Or just added a custom in game guilty time set. To allowed player to manual set the guilty times either remove it or added more.
flango  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. 2024 kl. 11:23
kinda possible, but that'll be too much to patch and really not worth it imo
DaniAngione 27. apr. 2024 kl. 8:42
I really like this mod! Thanks to it (and its longer guilt duration) I just uncovered a murder plot during a raid 2.6 days after it happened. It was pretty cool, I decided to just read the tombstones' art and one of them mentioned the colonist being killed by another colonist, that seemed happy in doing so... I was like "what?" So I go to their bio and see they're guilty! And they have a positive thought about the death of their rival!

Criminal! Murderer! Justice shall be met!

Anyway, I came here to suggest something:
Could we get custom time settings for different kinds of violations? Or is that not possible? Like small injury, serious injury, incapacitation, murder... Perhaps some vandalism too when breaking things and so on. I don't know if that is possible but would be nice!

Anyway, thanks for the great mod :)
nhatanh0475 23. apr. 2024 kl. 8:31
Thanks you. Now justice has been restore.
Гений 23. apr. 2024 kl. 4:54
Thx a lot!

updated to 1.5
Гений 15. apr. 2024 kl. 5:07
Hi mate, thanks for the mod. Could you please add 1.5 to About when you have time for it?
Seriel 5. nov. 2023 kl. 1:36
I'm starting to hate Rimworld cause of all the design decision that need mods like this.

This game is advertised as more of a "story generator" but these decision keep giving weird stories like a brutal raid with alot of injured/dead/pissed off colonist wanting to publicly execute a hated raider, but then that prisoner must be healthy and able to walk to be publicly executed so the angry colonist dedicate some time and possibly resources to patching up the raider they want to see die, but then a day has passed and now for some reason they don't consider that raider guilty and may or may not feel bad for publicly executing them.

And now the colonist call apon otherworldly powers to mod-ify their world so that they may now publicly execute a hated raider while they cannot walk, except that has yet to exist for some reason so they will just have to settle with rightfully thinking an enemy raider is guilty for longer then a day.
The Blind One 30. aug. 2023 kl. 14:33
Honestly what was Tynan thinking when he made it 24h.
Nishe 18. aug. 2023 kl. 7:11
"Your honor, we have a problem."

"And what is that counsellor?"

"The defendant is indeed guilty of slaughtering that whole family, but unfortunately the act was now committed 25 hours ago."

"Sigh... set him free. "
Darkequation 8. aug. 2023 kl. 0:22
you clubbed my cat, enjoy your life sentence
DreamFree 3. aug. 2023 kl. 3:51
I use this mod, it's good.

I imagine a world where the maker of Rimworld didn't mess up on things such as these so all the wonderful modders could spend their time on something else.

There are dozens, maybe hundreds of mods such as these to patch Tynan's analytical skills and logic....
YunoAloe 27. mar. 2023 kl. 0:28
I noticed that now some of my colonists (who never were prisoners or raiders) are guilty for 98 years. No idea why, but I would definitely like to give them selective pardons... I cannot seem to be able to do that nor in dev mode, nor using character editor.
YunoAloe 9. mar. 2023 kl. 2:04
Is there a way to do manual pardons to some chosen prisoners, maybe in some other mod?
tobiaslarsson87 3. jan. 2023 kl. 12:58
Found the Cause. Alpha Genes caused it.
tobiaslarsson87 3. jan. 2023 kl. 9:31
For me the guilt stacks up and then resets to 24h once they are downed. Might be mods incompatible though. Added a few since this worked for me. Geological Landforms should not affect it but maybe some Vanilla Expanded mods or the Organ Harvesting one.
Rhaeven 6. nov. 2022 kl. 1:11
Thanks for the mod, no idea why it's so short in vanilla.
VelxraTV 23. okt. 2022 kl. 14:37
Thanks for the update. Really never made sense how viewing someone as guilty lasted only for a whole rim day.
flango  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2022 kl. 11:54
Updated to 1.4

Years. Years of conviction are in store.

"I figure with the statute of limitations it really should be close to two fifty."

"There’s no statute of limitations for murder!"

"Why the fuck not?"
d_valroth 20. sep. 2022 kl. 5:25
Thank you. Pawns remember someone slighting them longer than they remember heinous crimes sometimes.
Proxyer 19. sep. 2022 kl. 20:20
Nice! They should be punished for their crimes. Even if the result is the death penalty...
I send award your mod! :Emo_5_Trophy:
Londo 19. sep. 2022 kl. 15:47
Thank goodness. so many prisoners are incapacitated for their first 24 hour in jail and cant be executed.
