I put 0.3 for armor and weapon ;)
Just edit this in the config5.xml file which is in your documents folder:
<PriceModifiers>
<ArmorPriceModifier>1</ArmorPriceModifier>
<WeaponPriceModifier>1</WeaponPriceModifier>
<HorsePriceModifier>0.2</HorsePriceModifier>
<TradePriceModifier>1</TradePriceModifier>
</PriceModifiers>
(I put 0.2 for armor and weapon) it feels somewhat fair but I'd dumb it down to a 0.15 for more hardcore or even 0.1)
Adding to that the posture system is absolutely great! Should be in vanilla. Even more so would be that we could properly train against the starting trainers. Right now the veteran trainer is almost invincible because he never loses gear.
Also knockback in general should be longer. When you deplete an opponents posture (or he depletes yours) they just recover to fast and you don't have time to land a killing blow.
Sometimes its glitching when you or your opponent loses posture, they leap forward and instantly come back to position. It looks buggy. I don't know if characters are supposed to fall on the ground sometimes, but it never happens with me. They just lose balance briefly and get back on their feet instantly.
And people complaining that the steam version updates are the worst. Steam workshop is just a terrible modding platform because it doesn't allow for multiple versions of a mod to be available. If you want to be certain your game stays the way it is install mods via Nexus. And don't go complaining about an update or lack thereof. Especially if the thing you're complaining about is as easily fixed as by just clicking the link in the description here on steam.
Crossbows irl don't shoot very far. Even modern compound crossbows aren't shooting over 50m when flat. In the 13th century a crossbow wouldn't shoot further than 20m and lose penetrating power extremely fast.
Bows have a longer range but are more difficult to use and have less penetrating power. They however do keep their speed and penetrating power for longer which is why a longbow at 200lbs would penetrate on longer distances than a heavy stir up crossbow with 500lbs draw.
Both would tickle a knight in lamellar from 50m but a crossbow could penetrate easily up close. A bow on the other hand wouldn't penetrate either way.
The mod does a very good job of simulating their power.
Javelins on the other hand are indeed a little weak but not far from realism. Again against lamellar it's not penetrating. But someone in mail would get absolutely messed up.
Are there problems right now? Yes. It's a brand new update to a HUGELY impactful mod immediately after a HUGE change to the game.
it's a free mod so you haven't paid them anything, yet you screech that you're being hurt somehow because there are issues with the free mod THEY created and own. Get a grip and go outside and touch some grass.
If you can't afford warsails just play vanilla of a rolled back version. You aren't owed anything from this mod team or any other.
I'm not affiliated with this mod team or any other, I'm just annoyed by the whiney entitled griping in the comments.
i am dissapointed and confused for this is the correct version and i have warsails, yet it crashes please fix this issue!
