@milkygoth You should take a look at the comment I posted below. I don't play a lot of huge mods, personally, but there are some there that you may find interest in. Otherwise, you should go to the Starbound forums and ask there too.

im not rlly deep into the stuff, but i dont wanna support sum1 who steals others mods, do you have any reccs for mods that adds more hours of content, like more planets and quests and stuff?

are there any mods which preserve and/or emulate the 'madness' stuff in FU? that's pretty much the only feature gating me from getting rid of it

@Kynrasian Honestly, I've been having a lot with Betabound installed. It gives an alternative form of progression, including alternative equipment and tech, and re-implements a lot of structures, resources and enemies. It brings back a lot of variation the game once had.
Elithin Races is a great mod, which adds a bunch of new races, tonnes of interesting and outright cool weapons, vehicles and even some turrets too. It has its own lore and plenty of resources used by the various races to craft much of their strong equipment.
Shattered Alchemy is a good mod too.

All that being said, I don't know what mods you like so it's hard for me to suggest mods.
I personally don't play with too many (283 mods atm) mods, though. So I might not be the best to provide you with mods that you would enjoy.

So, I won't pretend I'm any closer to knowing whose side to be on here, but were I to remove FU, what mods would you recommend to replace it with?

So, what's the deal with Frackin' Universe? I keep hearing about plagiarism, but I've never been pointed to any specifics. This being the internet, I don't want to make a decision based solely on a bunch of alleged actions, but I also would rather not be implicitly endorsing such actions.

To make a long story short Sayter stole a bunch of mods and forcefully integrated it into Frackin Universe, and basically using the mod's fanbase to attack people who point this out. I think there was also some Doxxing involved but I dont know fully.

I also understand that sayter stole a fuck ton of mods, does anyone have a list of what his punk ass stole? I am looking to remove FU after my current play through and I still would like a few things remaining if they were from other mods.

Honestly, I think this is perfect considering that Sayter is one of those people that is well... less than desirable to have around. Patman on the other hand is just funny meme man and deserves to be mentioned where he belongs for some of the creative and uniquely silly mods he comes up with.
