any success with that?
btw i fixed dupe error
Use "Ranger" under "Detection" in your Wiremod tab and spawn it to the front of 1 antenna do the same for antenna 2 and make sure they are pointing at eachother. once you align them perfectly, you can remove the ranger and it'll work. It's one of the best wire addons I've seen and if you chill out and mess with them you can get them to work
1st I have no Lua errors, that means no conflict.
2nd How can I check alignment of my antennae? Do you expect, that I have enough knowledge about radios? The only thing I know about radios is: the signal is transmitted trough air by electromagnetic waves. That's all.
BaseMHz (value is 200)
On (value is 1 =On)
TxWatts (value is 255)(I didn't get harmed when came close to trasmitter)
Channel 1 (value 5) (for testing purposes)
On receiver I have wired these inputs:
BaseMHz (value is 200)(matching the transmitter value)
But on outputs I have this: (I only used Channel 1 for my test)
Channel 1 (Output was randomly jumping between numbers from 0 to 9)
Ch1_HasSignal (Still displaying 0 no matter how far the receiver from transmitter is even when I put receiver very close to transmitter it still displays 0)
Ch1-dBm (Output was randomly jumping between numbers from -120 to -1000)
I have spacebuild 3 installed, but transmitter was connected to power source
What I am doing wrong? Is this addon corrupted? Doesn't it work because of too much addons? (I have 9 pages of addons I can't tell which ones because it will be complicated to write them here)
From what I can tell there really is not propagation factors in this add-on and I don't even think objects can block signals.. On the map GM_Sunsetgulch we can send RF underground as long as things are lined up.. Basically it is pretty straight forward, the more TX power the more range and LOS is a factor with the directional antennas. I have found that 100 watts will cover just about every corner of a map.
You can use this with Spacebuild 2 and the radios will need energy to actually transmit and if godmode and the TX RF power is high enough it can actually injure you if your in the line of the signal and close enough.
did they get rid of it because it was my favorite mod
