@Daffie, once you have placed the turret on a turret block, enter the custom designer with Shift + T and you can change the color, the blocks, etc.. Hope this helps. :)

@Rakeki, the gif was made through multiple levels of screen recordings, macros, and video editing. The normal way of just screen recording the model in the save tab or ship tab just doesn't have the lighting or resolution I aim for.

I had to look it up and it is definitely a similar design, albeit completely unintentional, lol. The majority of the design inspiration comes from concept art for the HT Laser Cannon from Star Conflict. I enjoyed the look of the artwork and decided to challenge myself to see if I could bring the spirit of it into Avorion.

looks like the nano turret from robocraft but 1000 times much better
