Dynamic Wheel Friction

does this work with wheels without the suspension part? or just the in game pre-made wheel and suspension. trying to build cars with custom made suspension but still want to feel more friction as i gain speed with downforce

Cheers, probably just SE sub-grid weirdness then.
DraygoKorvan  [skapare] 8 mar, 2024 @ 21:50
it should not care if it is a subgrid as its based on where the wheel is relative to the suspension.

@DraygoKorvan
Would you happen to have any details on how this functions with regard to wheels on sub-grids?
I did some basic side by side testing with a pair of identical shape & weight vehicles and the one with sub-grid wheels seemed to have markedly less friction than the one without sub-grid wheels for some reason.

im interested in a mod that would let cars behave more like rally cars, where weight transfer matters and wheels propel the vehicle even when sliding sideways. do you think that would be possible?
DraygoKorvan  [skapare] 2 okt, 2022 @ 9:26
yes

Is this per adjusting per wheel?

Man.. add material based characterics and you can do stuff like in SnowRunner (spintires) game.
Mud, Sand, Ice, road, dust-road, grass...

Where should I put the friction slider?? 50% as default?
Sawakaki 11 aug, 2022 @ 6:44
Excellent, thank you. :selike:
DraygoKorvan  [skapare] 10 aug, 2022 @ 21:54
should work for modded wheels.
Sawakaki 10 aug, 2022 @ 20:29
Does this function for modded wheels also or only vanilla?

As I said, the answer you need is on the aero mod page. It is also the appropriate place to ask that question or you can ask on my discord in #Aerodynamics.
Zukuto 21 jul, 2022 @ 19:26
@DeaygoKorvan its an f1 server so we go 90-100 ms
DraygoKorvan  [skapare] 21 jul, 2022 @ 17:52
Keep in mind 42 m/s is 162 km/h
DraygoKorvan  [skapare] 21 jul, 2022 @ 17:51
Those are aero mod questions as this mod doesnt limit your speed.

The Aero mod description has all the answers you need.
Zukuto 21 jul, 2022 @ 15:25
i run with aero cos i want may implement it into a racing server, but it limits my speed at like 45 ms how could i fix that?
geraveoyomama 8 jul, 2022 @ 5:38
should be vanilla! Super cool!
sintri 7 jul, 2022 @ 19:24
Is this not in the game already? Typically have to adjust the friction based on how much the total mass is (mostly from extra cargo) anyways.
1antonioorlo1 7 jul, 2022 @ 4:38
Yea, cool
TuxRiley 4 jul, 2022 @ 23:46
i like your mods, they always make my game harder and i always enjoy them. Thank you very much for that and I hope you kick my ass with your mods:selike:

nice

Does it solve the issue that when a wheel is slipping the propulsuion is completely ignored? I want to drift
UncleFester 3 jul, 2022 @ 15:22
Another insanely cool and obvious feature that should be in vanilla (of course, it's only obvious once Drago makes the mod...)

When is Keen hiring you?
