you should make it so that this mod disables the vanilla short sighted trait

@real no, they will conflict. You only need this one!

I will probably revisit this when the new build is out, if someone else hasn't already.

Personally, I'd remove the clumsy trait from Myopia, whilst buffing the points given by Hyperopia.

I also agree with Willow.... LOL. Actually reducing Aim skill when not wearing glasses for Myopia was my first idea, but I couldn't figure out the Lua function/code/whatever I needed to make it work that way and my time was split with other projects.

If anyone knows how to script it to work like that I'd welcome the advice, or they can even take over the project, as I did with the previous author Onkeen.(Just make sure to credit them).

Totally agreed with Willow.

as someone with myopia irl, i would definitely not be clumsy without glasses. I can see perfectly fine within a few feet and everything past that is just kinda unfocused

Instead of having clumsy for myopia, I think your Aiming skill should be locked to 0 or 1 and have your Forage radius extremely small without glasses

Nice thanks for fixing the Original, Legend
Simsimix Aug 6, 2022 @ 1:51pm
good mod

I know you're not the original author, but why not make Myopia the opposite of Hyperopia? Where you would have too zoom in close, and your entire screen would blur as you zoomed out?

I guess I don't fight enough lol. But seriously to be honest your glasses will not break if you take care of them. In an apocalypse well maybe but in normal life, unless you go fight every 2 days and keep your glasses on for that (doing box with glasses ain't a good idea) they shouldn't break, or if you are very clumsy.

Today's glasses aren't always cheap plastic, for not that much you can get titanium glasses if you add 50 bucks to the price to get good glasses, which you should when you wear glasses everyday for your entire life (and titanium is as strong as steel and lighter)

@Sir Doggy Jvla Then you aren't living life hard enough. OR you have glasses made in the 50s when everything was made of steel.

Maybe something is wrong with me ...
SimKDT Jul 6, 2022 @ 2:17pm
I've been wearing glasses my entire life and never scotch or glue to fix my glasses

@USER404 I'm just reverse engineering the original mod a bit, but from what I see the script interacts with the default glasses items Base.Glasses_Normal and Base.Glasses_Reading, so if any clothing mods add models while still using those item name properties then it should be compatible.
Zensiji Jun 23, 2022 @ 5:01pm
You can't yell join during the apocalypse, Ricky!

Great mod adjustmend, 10/10 makes you really *feel* like Bubbles.
USER404 Jun 23, 2022 @ 1:37pm
Great! thanks for taking over and improve it. Would be posible to add variation to the glasses 3d model? maybe even compatibility with Clothes BOX mod
