Remove Tree Anarchy 1.0

for those who had issues with trees disappearing from their save after switching to Tree Control from Tree anarchy temp fix (despite being below the vanilla tree limit), loading the save with this mod first before converting to the new mods will solve the problem (at least from my experience)

@slavonator It sounds as though you want to use Tree Control instead of using this mod. Note the text box near the top of the description above - only use this if you're NOT going to use Tree Control. And if you're not using Tree Control, then yes, you'll lose all snapping etc.

@algernon I used the procedure exactly as described. but I had one problem. same as with removed EML if u remember.in this case more than half of all trees hid below the surface. I used the page up key to fix it, but I can't exactly place the height at which I had the trees, because I have a rough terrain. I do not understand that. and the second problem is that all the trees that were placed with tree snapping in the old tree anarchy are still deeper below the surface. and thirdly, all the trees whose size was changed to something other than the default returned to the default size. algernon the same thing happened to me with props with the same procedure when removing the old prop anarchy. do you think that this is all related? does it have something to do with EML? please, I would like to solve it, try to help me with both of these mods

@ Maver1cK Yes - just unsub Tree Anarchy, subscribe to Tree Control (and enable it), and then load your save as normal.

@Maver1cK Correct, Tree Control also has 'more trees' functionality and will read Tree Anarchy extended tree buffers.

@ovvldc No, this is not needed if you have Tree Control. Tree Control can convert Tree Anarchy data directly.

@Algernon: do I still need this mod if I have Tree Control and want to use convert a map to using that mod? Should i first save it with this mod, or can I just load with Tree Control and not worry?

@LDtailor It would depend upon which mod is throwing the error; you'll need to share your output log , as without it nobody can tell what's going on.

Followed instructions but keep getting simulation failed error related to tree snapping data. Any suggestion on what do do?

@algernon thank you for maintaining the majority of C:S mods.

I used this mod in order to utiliize your new Tree Control Mod. (Thank you). I used the Original Tree Anarchy Mod to deactivate all trees, I had no issues after clicking through the error prompts. And was able to load in with Tree Control easily.

Word to the wise though, after using this mod, my district style settings, and transfer manager settings were wiped. Still worth using this mod, and the updated Tree Control, just the tree sway makes a much more stable game. Ko-fi on its way.

@hAkUnAmAtAtA Please don't paste error messages into Workshop discussions; it just wastes space, and the messages on their own mean nothing. Instead, please post your full output log.

@algernon I do receive an error report when I tries to remove Tree Anarchy after I ran the remover.

A Mod caused an error [System.Exception]

Details:
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Argument cannot be null.

The compatibility report didn't show anything significant. Would this error report be helpful? If not I'm gonna pull the output log out from that broken save.

@hAkUnAmAtAtA That sounds like either a malfunctioning mod, or a corrupted save; your output log will hopefully have some clues, but have you checked your mods using Compatibility Report (and acted on its findings)?

When I did according to the instructions the tree anarchy dependency of my save did removed; However, when I unsubscribe this mod and Tree Anarchy and load into the my (re)save again, all the assets disappear when I zoom in closer to them: when I zoom out they do have their shape, but when I zoom in nothing (and even trees) can be shown. Wondering if there is anything wrong with my save; the map I used was that Canto Granto with Tree Anarchy on.

This works. Used it for a save game. Just followed the instructions. The interim loaded game seemed to lose all of the buildings, but upon reload (per instructions) everything was there. Thank you!

OK, thanks. But good to know that there is no fundamental way that your mod pre-empts compatibility with the new Tree Anarchy mod.

@ovvldc I can't recall, to be honest. It might have been something to do with heights and anarchy settings, but you should ask Carina.

I assume that this mod was used on the Morato map (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827399779&searchtext=morato) some time in development, but the description of that map says that you cannot use it with Tree Anarchy. Why is that?
