Any plans for a B42 update, maybe including tie-ins to the new butchering mechanics? Ran into a composter early on in one run and the moment my yard started getting full I thought of grabbing a mod like this lol.

I'm not sure hot to add a comment to the github as per the mod description, so failing that I'm asking here. Is there any plan to and/or would you make it so that we can use the meat as an ingredient? Currently you can't use it in things like soups, stews, salads, etc. It would also be cool to be able to make soap out of them (like in Fight Club lol). Anyway, appreciate the mod and thanks a bunch. ♥

@Yato thanks for sharing your struggle! Yeah, the number is solely used to download and update the mod on the server, the "Loading mod ID" tells your client what mods it should actually start. I assume this bit was removed from the description by mistake.

Ok ! I’ve fixed the problem. This was not from the ID workshop, it is "2816263599" as on github but of the Mod name which was not "Butcher Corpses" nor "Butcher corpses" but it was "ButCor". I was able to test the mod and it works wonderfully thank you for this nugget!
Please, to facilitate the implementation of your mod for dedicated server, put the ID Workshop and the ID name in your description like other mods available on the workshop

The mod isn't working for me on my dedicated server. Is there an incompatibility with other mods or something like that? My server has automatically downloaded the mod, and I've checked the mod folder, but it’s still not usable in-game. I've tried carrying the body and even placing it directly on the ground, but it doesn't work. :/

I've also tried to carry the corpse and see if the crafting window would pop up, but it doesn't. I don’t have the recipe in my crafting options. Do I need to read a magazine or have a certain skill for that?

PS : Like every mods can you write the ID mod and the ID workshop in your description ? please (I dont need it anymore because I checked it in the git hub but im talking for other people interested in your mod)

@Caistrophytum if you have a valid knife or axe, you can butcher a corpse in your inventory by simply looting it from the vicinity and right clicking it in your bag. If the option does not show up, check your crafting menu for the Butcher Corpse recipe to see what is missing.
Alternatively you can now also just right click a corpse in the world while you have a valid tool for the recipe mentioned above in your bags and select the "Butcher Corpse for Flesh" option.

How can I place the corpse in my inventory? You can only grab it... When I grab it and have my butcher's knife nothing happens.

(hi just fyi there are some other mods which also add a right-click butcher corpses, so it might be good to include (meat) in the rightclick popup or something, just in case others download the mod to help differentiate what each option will do - for example one of the trading mods has an option (but it specifically gives you zombie hide for converting into special bandages, and other things for trading)

if there is even a local game file i can manually edit or something, it will help, because i think the quickest ive seen in an in-game setting was 1 or 2 weeks minimum, but would like to change it to 2 days. :)

Finally now I don't need a shovel when my friends die to dispose of them.

Truth be told, I don't use rotten meat for food. I installed this mod to convert troupes into compost. I'm still wondering if you can write a mod where you can put whole zombie troupes in a compost bin along with all the junk that comes with it, for example, like in the crematorium mod?

@Mugen That is pretty funny ngl, though you shouldn't get sick from eating cooked corpse meat (you need to wait an additional 1 second after it "finishes" cooking for it to actually be cooked, if you see it start burning then you're good). The depression is intended though

i ate one piece of cooked human meat then immediately became depressed. To compansate negative stats of unhappiness i just decided to light a cigar and however my sickness reach 100 points so I died in 2 minutes. 10/10 İmmersive mod.
TLDR: Dont smoke weed after eating meat or u die!

You should make it so you can also extract the bones as well I mean you may as well use the whole thing to make some weaponry as well I mean bones are very useful material very pointy material

Is it possible to increase the amount of "meat" obtained during cutting? Very low productivity is obtained - from 100 corpses of 20 kg each, only 40 kg of result is obtained. This is very, very little.

Nope, it's mainly meant to be used as a very easy way to get compost, and only to be eaten if you have literally nothing else available

I'd love to see us able to use the meat in recipes, such as the "stew" you can make with rotten food later - or zombie-meat sandwiches... Anything you could do with normal meat

@Player 0: You can butcher any corpse, I also just tested it on a server with only this mod enabled and it worked. Not sure why it wouldn't work for you, either it's not enabled or you have some mod conflict? Though a conflict is pretty unlikely as this mod simply adds the flesh items and the "Butcher corpse" recipe
