Interesting, Steam only allows you to use 32 character long names... I have never seen anybody with such a long name (except that 3kliksphilip video talking about it) in all these years

UPDATE: ok so ignore what i typed out below because i just found out that all you need to do is rename autoexec file to a cfg, rather then a document file. mb if i came off really rude, however you could've atleast put that in the tutorial, or better yet make a actual YT tutorial or somthin IDK

ok i looked threw the tutorial again and i tried doing the steps again, and it did not work at all, it didn't crash my game or freeze it but now it does nothing. i legit tried every single step 1 TO 1 and nothing worked, either im doing something wrong or the mod doesn't work, because im looking threw the tutorial steps and it did nothing at all. i mind aswell just assume this mod/addon just doesnt work

i lliterally cant even load into the game now. everytime i get into a privite game (a game that can be made in the console) the loading screen freezes, ive tried wating, uninstalling the game, deleting, hell i even tried verifying local files, NOTHING WORKED idk what too do

Mine crashes once I switch applications.

The only issue I have with this is that it also removes the names when you need to choose your character and in the outro. i wish this only removed names in game

I won't make a guide but what you need to do is: Open clientscheme.res, use CTRL+F and search for "TargetID", now just play with "tall" and "wide" values as you please. If you have problems, add me and I will help you.

That's what i thought.
I'm 100% sure players' usernames are tied to the server itself and that's why those can't be changed, furthermore, even if there was the slightest chance to change them, the feature would be so 'hardcoded' that it'd be next to impossible.
Congratulations again for the addon, it's well thought and helps me get rid of those pesky name tags that keep floating around, obstructing me from seeing items' halos scattered around the map.

It is possible only to change bot names, it won't work on multiplayer. As for the HUD thing, it's possible to remove the names from hud too, changing them for players is not possible.

Works pretty good. Even with 8 bots.

Apologies if my question may sound confusing or out of place, but is it possible to display only default survivors' names in the HUD & scoreboard ( e.g. Nick, Rochelle, Coach, Ellis etc. ), instead of steam's players' usernames during online sessions ?

There's a big FAQ section in the description, but why bother to read when you can come in here and write garbage in the comments like the entitled human being you are ? Explain to me, but slowly, how do you play survival without names ? In your opinion, people who don't want names in survival should just play another mode, realism.
