why do the mods only work when i make a new world?

Not sure if a bug, or just B42 related. But reducing thinness of the line to minimum and using that to "mark" buildings with an X over a small city led to a lot of map lag, like really bad. I had to go through and manually delete all my drawings on the map and replace them with symbols as it was just too big of a map performance drain.

Map pan speed would go back to normal anywhere I hadn't drawn on the map on, or when fully zoomed in. But seeing from a "city-glance" the FPS Loss panning the map was really bad. Don't remember this being an issue in B41 though.

is it hard to mod an item (graphic paper) into something you can draw freehand on? I want to be able to use it mainly for mapping areas underground but also to use with the rpg books / dice

I modified my translation by removing an accent on the word (Epaisseur) that I had forgotten to remove

I've added the French translation in the translation section
without adding the accents on a and e so that it's in UTF-8.

I've been using arrows to draw words, it's painful, but I've realized that just using symbols and different colours of pen is easier

Yes/No
Shared Faction/Coop Map Symbols does not support changing the size of map symbols.
Which means your lines will get *much* thicker when shared.

Does this work with Mxswat's Shared Faction/Coop Map Symbols ?

is the line tool only on B42? or is it B41? Because i don't see a line option at all?

feature idea, make simple graphics for the new trash items and then allow us to draw on like parking tickets and the new notepads, thought itd be cool

B42 version is live.

@Lord Skarra it has the line tool.
I may look into a section tool in the future.
Fill tool is unfeasible due to how this works under the hood.

A b42 version will be available shortly.
The b41 version will remain as well thanks to the new version of Zomboid supporting mod versioning.

This is one of the best mods. Why? Because it helps me fill in the map for modded maps were there is missing stuff. such as maps like the AIZ Map Pack.

A Few ideas for an update for this mod.

A Line Tool.
click 1 spot, click the other, make a line between the 2 spots. Why? Because when drawing lines for roads, they end up not straight, and it would be cool to have this.

Section Tool.
Basically draw a square over an area. Thats perfectly squared?
Used for showing a zone of an area

Fill Color Tool.
Basically like how we have different color pens we need a fill color tool for sections So we can fill an area in?





Also if anyone has any idea of an Updating Map, that updates the map so it shows modded locations that have been added that would be nice to... For some reason i come across areas on the map that don't exist, i'm not sure why the map isn't updating and showing these locations.

They show up more on the Non-Satalite map, but not all of them.
