@barnkalassoldat The definition of 'mod' is modification, which means interfering, changing, or adding onto something. Textures, music, and localization still modify the game visually. Still technically a mod.

and ofc mods can have assets as well, but resource packs can't add anything new or change core mechanics

just commenting to on pizza a little. His definition is technically correct, but in practice there is very often a big destinction between texture/resource packs and mods, so to simply claim it 's all mods is just going "well ackshually..."

terraria workshop has no "true" mods. Tmodloader's workshop has both, though

What? by mod i mean localization pack from terraria, it's called "Better Tooltips". It displays light power, hook power, minecart power, and even some extra stuff on accessories and weapons
