Strega special ships are available to empires not using the shipset, and its frigate overwrites the vanilla frigate

Currently, this mod classifies ships as biological ships, and no ships will appear in the game. How can this issue be resolved, and is it possible to update it?

if you ever get back into this could you strip down the features to just the models so that is more compatible with NSC and ESC

Hey, uh, quick question. Is there a version of this without the new ship classes? I think it's interfering with the AI in my games as they can't build colony ships (result is them having a single colony for the entire game; probably due to the necessity of separate tech to research to unlock said NSC classes - but I'm no programmer so take my thoughts with a mine-full of salt) without me switching over to them and make them do it, and yet even then they sometimes cancel the colonization after I switch back to my faction.

The other solution that I can think of is playing *with* NSC, but I kinda don't want to because I'm still a newbie at this.

Hey friend! Im using this with a lot of other mods and I just wanted to pass along that the reason some of the sections cannot be selected for the battlecruiser when using NSC is because your keys are not unique for the ship_sections. Same problem with the issue of unasignable reactors and thrusters. Easy fix :). I just went in and added a couple letters to each key and boom. All working with like 50 other mods. Cheers!

Looks like its a conflict with ESC Next's mod being installed. seems the issue was persisting in this game but works fine in a new one. sorry bout that really thought they just wernt workin lol

seems to be roughly the same error for all the shiptypes with a broken component slot.

seems like the Strikecruiser, Battlecruiser, Dreadnought, and Carrier are having fitting issues. wont let me fit the first and third equipment slots. the frigate and all of the other base strega ships work just fine

Thanks for what you are doing. The dreadnought in particular is fantastic to me. Are you willing to potentially work on a mod that introduces dreadnoughts and other superheavy ships? Maybe some sort of supercarrier that keeps spitting out corvettes and cruisers to distract enemy fleets?

Yeah it's not perfect. First time I have made any mod so I am my surprised its even working. Also, I don't have much spare time right now. Working on it when I can.

Another amusing thing i found is that all ship sets available to me aside from the Strega shipset had access to the non-vanilla ship types.

Ex. I had humanoid shipset contain the "carrier", "dreadnought", and "frigate" types.

I love this mod... but there is one issue.

The dreadnought does not allow for parts introduced by similar mods. I specifically had an issue where I could only use vanilla specific reactors and had to limit my weapons on the ship until I got darkmatter reactors.

Is there a way for Dreadnoughts in particular to get the reactors and parts introduced by mods like "Ancient Technologies"? And all the non-vanilla ships in general?

Yeah, 3.3 changed the file layout. Been matching what others have been doing. Not trying to integrate with other mods right now. Have not done this before so its a bit much. Just trying to get it working with the base game. I'll then try to make it work with others. I have verified my tech branch for the advanced ships work. Dreadnought, Strike Cruiser, Battle Cruiser, and Carrier designs show up just broke for building.

@Fenious Have you tried poking around in the guts of other shipset mods [if there are any that do what you are trying to do]? Just an idea that you may already have tried.

Working on it. I don't know enough about how NSC or the other fleet mods. I am not sure I can make them compatible with the updates to file structure and what not. Might be beyond my skill level. Currently setting up the file structure to match 3.3. I a trying to add a technology to build the advanced ships at the moment without NSC etc.. What I do know is that many people have edited these ships to be almost good like. One of them had 20+ guns. Trying to do a balance pass as well. Another update will take a bit. As I stated I think its playable with base game at the moment. Still testing.

Not yet, having trouble with the station models loading in game. Star base models seem to be fine, but the others not some much. I as able to get a place holder model for the Colossus to load up. I have not uploaded that however. I believe its defaulting to humanoid colossus atm as are the stations. Funny thing is if you look close enough at the stations the Strega models are there too. They appeared to be stacked.
