The mod still works, he just changed it because the game Settings now support disabling the startup movie.
Go to Options -> Game Settings. In the bottom right, untick the checkbox for "Enable Tome of Fates game launch video"

The game now naturally supports disabling the Tome of Fates video shown during start up, go to Options -> Game Settings -> Misc category and untick "Enable Tome of Fates game launch video".

Yeah, that one's probably hard-coded into the game itself. It probably acts as a "boot"-screen, which most likely is needed to even start the game up. I don't think it's a legitimate "intro-video", so I don't think that can be skipped at all.

The initial copyright screen still starts up and makes me stare at it for several seconds even after my cursor is no longer indicating its loading. I just want to disable that initial copyright screen that makes you stare at it for 10+ seconds when I boot up the game despite my fast SSD.
