This weapon can be dropped by the marines when killed; it must be larger then the smg so sometimes it spawns in their ragdolls causing their corpses to gib.

The same happened to me too @Боуньк when i checked the folder of the mod '2785756234' in the workshop section, the 'weapon view model' file was not present in my case, due to which the gun was still MP5 but with M4 firing and reload sound.
To fix this, try to run your game in -console, it worked for me, i am able to play the game with M4 with no issues.

*For those who don't know how to do this
1) Go to your library, right click on black mesa and click on properties.
2) At the most bottom of the advanced run type '-console'.
3) Run your game. In case if it still not works then contact to Citizen5 to fix the issue about the absence of the gun model file which does not appear in the respective folder, even I subscribe.

For me most often only the sound works and that’s it :(

I only subscribed without moving the vpk file and most of the time it works but sometimes it doesn't, weird. The sound also works though.

even though i moved the VPK file to the custom file, it still doesnt work and a new VPK file appears in the original file somehow

i wish the ammo was separate from the pistol

It's not even showing up in my steam workshop menu in game but icon for the weapon appears in my inventory and it's using the weapon sound but the model itself isn't appearing in-game

a lot of people say it doesn't make sense for the military at the time of the black mesa incident to be using the AR-15 rifles, but I'd say it makes a lot more sense seeing how the MP5 manufacturers are german, and the AR-15 is purely american. So i'd say it makes much more sense for them to use an AR-15 rather the MP5

i dont know why but it just crashes at the moment when we first meet black assasins

fix up the animations, they pop into the running anim instantly around the end when reloading and sprinting at the same time, and the tactical reload animation is way too short and doesn't sync up.

Note to everyone who wants to use this with bm the military, it stays the default HEV arms...saw a video of a guy using or well atleast adding this mod to his collection showing the HECU arms and I'm not at all sure how he got it right.

It doesn't work. This is the first mod I downloaded for this game. There is no chance of conflict. It just doesn't work.

This is the best M4 mod in the entire workshop

The mod barely works. The first time I launched the game with the mod, it worked fine other than the gunfire sound. I just thought I forgot to install something, but its just the mod not working correctly. I even tried fixing it in files to see if it was a file location problem, but that didn't work either. The HUD still works, just nothing else which includes the model itself and the sounds.

Worked for the first time,but the model went back to the MP5 after launching again,HUD and reloading are still the M4 ones

Also wdym by BMBS getting an official version of this? Will it be just an Mp5 replacer or would it be like the assassin glock addon I did (probably just an Mp5 replacer since I don't think the assassin glock can be spawned other than the give command)

Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. It's so frustrating cus it's my favourite MP5 replacement.

PROBLEM + SOLUTION FOUND: The item does not load in, particularly when loading a save file with the MP5 present in the level/already obtained. It may work for a time, and upon re-launching and reloading a save, it will have reverted back. By loading a level without the MP5, for example by starting a New Game first, then reloading your save file, this item fully loads into the game. It WILL NOT WORK if you launch the game and load in with the MP5 equipped or present in the level. You must always do this for the M16 to replace it.

If you're having problems with it not working then you have to be online while subscribed for it to work, even having the .VPK in your custom folder wont help, you HAVE to be connected to Wi-Fi and steam HAS to be in 'Online" mode for this mod to work. If tested this after it quit working for me while offline. Unfortunately that is the only "fix" I can muster. I'm not a coding genius like the mod author.
