Why shouldn't it be in flux like all else in the universe?

I'm thinking of making a transgender mod myself with some more stuff, does anyone know if the source code of this mod is published and whether the license allows reuse?

Don't know if the creator of this mod still reads these but you might want to change the choker from an outer slot to a headgear one, as it is you can't wear it with any armor or most other outerwear such as parkas capes or dusters

This is neat! I'd always heard, for some reason, that adding sex/gender distinction to RW wasn't possible because something something spaghetti code, so it's nice to be proven wrong

It's a shame gender's such an innate feature that you can't (as far as I can tell) have nonbinary pawns. Maybe I'm biased but RW takes place so far in the future that I genuinely think lots of human communities would have "grown out" of gender as a concept. Especially the ones so bio-modded and irradiated that they don't have normal human sex characteristics

Currently, a pawn undergoing sex change keeps any traits they have. Since the sexuality traits check a pawn's sex, that means that as it stands a pawn's sexuality will actually flip after a sex change. another thing on my list of things to fix
I do really like the idea of femininity/masculinity of clothes being dependant on ideology though! I'll definitely look into it.

it would be cool if you could set for your ideology which clothes are feminine and which are masculine!

after a surgery, does the sexuality of a pawn change? i mean if a biologically male pawn has a trait gay, and if they take hormones and become she, as she wants, will she be straight now?

I think that the permanent mood buffs and debuffs in trans pawns are a little overpowered. A fully transitioned pawn will have a MASSIVE +25 mood buff...all the time.
Maybe, instead there could be a different euphoria/dysphoria system? Maybe trans pawns, depending on how much they have transitioned, will experience varying levels of dysphoria or euphoria, instead of it being a constant mood modifier.
This is just me being nitpicky here, but I also don't like the euphoria/dysphoria mood changes in pretty and ugly pawns. I wish that the mechanics of it were the same as in the base game.

Hey, i was wondering if you could add an option to hide the Broad/Narrow shoulders and breast hediffs, like how the "No breasts" hediff is hidden. I really like this mod but i find that the hediffs clog the medical screen, and an option to hide them would be great!

am i supposed to get this or the regular iidentity? what is the difference?

@Evilhotdog I'm still trying to figure that out. Might be able to change the text display of all genders to use gender neutral terms. The good thing is that once a pawn has a sex change the game recognizes that and switches terms, though i'd like to make it more encompassing.

@CammyCat in that case, is there any way to stop dialogs, etc, constantly misgendering trans pawns?

@Evilhotdog sex currently, the way that rimworld handles that value is very difficult to modify from what i've seen

A question to the jerks who sabotaged the ratings on this to get it down to three stars just for the sake of baseless politicized hatred of trans people: Why are you so obsessed with ruining the lives of some random unrelated 2% of the human population? Is it because your idols in the wealthy 0.1% said so? For some of you, probably, trolls never were known for smarts. But I think some of you are just projecting your own perceived "flaws" onto the rest of the world... Same thing often happens with gays who are raised in homophobic environments. Just sayin' yo, it's proven psychology, don't shoot the messenger ;P
