Historical battles were very risky for a king. Many kings during the dark ages met violent ends. However this mod makes it so dangerous it's stupid to even risk using your king as a general...
Other then that it's actually a great mod that makes the game more exciting.

yep, this mod is unplayable since you'll be fighting a tiny army of 100 leves and somehow your character ends up on the front line and dies

The main problem is you are using a mod that is 4 versions old. A lot of the triggers no longer work so you're likely getting stuck with bad randomization.

Try the updated version here, where alot of those events were decreased/eliminated and the triggers function properly.

Guy below me has a point. Great mod but ruins runs most of the time because of sudden death and crippling traits like experiencing severe ptsd in your first battle.
Not saying it's unrealistic it just makes being a martial focused character hell. Wish there was a version without those things.

Way too many times are my characters getting killed by targeted death events when they really have no chance of dying in that event. Gonna have to play without this for now.

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that with the Christmas break upcoming and time being once more in my hands, I will be able to fully resurrect this mod from the ashes and work on a patch to get it working seamlessly once more.

The needed files to update this mod are in my Super Compatch. Somebody can feel free to grab the files from there and put out an update to this mod until 3AGTTV maybe updates it.

As mentioned earlier, the only issue has to do with some of the generated traits like blademaster which are not updated to their current versions and XP system.

I would appreciate the mod being updated and expanded or at least a clarification from the author but it is very much playable.

I finally taken the time/risk and have tested this mod with about 20 others and suprisingly it seems to work perfectly. So chances are any problems are resulting from mod incompatibilities with stuff I am not using.
(Just to list the biggest ones from my loadout for anyone interested, CFP, EPE, RICE, VIET, More interactive vassals, various court mods, inherichance, prisoners of war & in my humble optinion (the last three work fine without the enhanced UI mod listed as required which seems to break things right now))

The last reply from the author was 3,5 months ago.I would avoid this mod until something changes plus it was already pretty unstable before so not much lost since people were not using it either way.When it was working properly this mod was a must have but i guess real life stuff got in the way of development and here we are.Hope the author is fine and continues this wonderful mod sometime in the future.

so, does this mod work with the current version already? I hear some people saying it does (at least with the last version) without an update and others saying that even then stuff was pretty broken and not fully functional. (Either the former do now know what the mod should actually do at full functionality or the latter are attributing inter mod incompatibilites to this mod is all I could think of) Either way I find it pretty sad that development on this mod seems to have stalled. It definitly touched a pretty bland area of vanilla and so far no other mod has taken up the mantle.

The mod seems to be working well for me as of today 19.07.2023
I noticed my kids were dying more often in battle though, maybe its just my impression. Overall it seems to work. No need for update.
