As long as they can AT LEAST walk around and do their attacks, it's mostly fine. I'm sure you'll fix the swimming behavior eventually!

I think I've had the red bullsquid as an SNPC longer than HLR has been around, so no. It's just because the thing has very basic AI.
Rest assured I do know of these problems and did (seemingly) fix everything so update should be ready soon.

VJ Base's new update bugged this thing out. The aquatic bullsquid can no longer walk OR do its spit attack. Normal Bullsquid still works fine (likely because its just a copy of the HL: R bullsquid)

I don't think you can really make custom npc's i black mesa, the source code hasn't been publicly released I think.

If you have the know-how or if you ever get the itch, it would be great to have this ported to Black Mesa. I would actually pay money for that.

i got an idea for a vortigaunt NPC













antlion tamer


this vortigaunt wields a bugbait in one hand, and uses the other hand for it's magic. the antlion tamer will make the antlions friendly (with the bugbait) to itself and it's allies. it has a cloak that goes down to it's waist, along with a hood. it also has a sharktooth necklace, but instead of a shark tooth, it's an antlion tooth.

porting animations with the currently available tools for Unity is mostly how lucky you are with how badly assetstudio messes up the ported animations. With Saurian, the animations are very much on the far end of messed up, unfortunately.

the red one doesent load in for me,i think it is because it used a hl2 beta cut snpcs model which that mod is now bropken
