@NEv This mod is designed to work seamlessly with other mods, as it only involves an XML patch that alters the minimum size for a landing pad without affecting any other values. Therefore the likelihood of encountering any conflicts with other mods is extremely low. In the rare case that another mod does change the landing pad sizing one of the mods would overwrite the other's values, but that won't cause a crash or any problem other than the new size not taking effect.

@Nev I don't believe that Vanilla Empire changes the way ships land

I NEVER understood why a dinky 5x3 size shuttle tops needed a whole ass 9x9 square to land. God bless you, friend.

Oh gosh this is fantastic, I always thought 6 or 7 would be fine, but a minimum of 5 and a choice to go higher is also great :D

Might be have been a game balance choice to make it harder to have a small "safe" landing point, might have been because there was originally more planned than small shuttles, or maybe Tynan just picked 9 as the minimum distance and never really thought about it.

Whatever the reason, I'm happier with being able to make 5x5 landing pads.

What do you think were the reasons they made it so large to begin with? It's so weird the shuttles can land on really tiny patches on their own but require such a huge designated pad.
