but movie studio, that is kinda stereotypical, the movies are only in LA, but the misions were along the coast from San Diego to San Fran

Interestingly enough, the first iteration of this mod had a mission in place of the Vaquero. I changed it out, after feedback on other mods complained about a lack of a unique unit.

There's a "Musketeer on Horseback" [forums.civfanatics.com] unit on Civfanatics that might fit the mold better than the Conquistador.

I have to say, I love this mod, but how do you feel about updating some of the Artwork regarding the Vaquero, as well as maybe changing Hiram Johnson's leader screen music? There has to be a better option than that short Fox 20th Century jingle.
