This mod worked for me, both in regular play and in AGOT (saved me quite a bit of frustration there). So I can confirm it functions at least some of the time.

@serp. you have no idea what AGOT mod is? One of the biggest mods for ck3. A Game of Throne. but you don't mod anymore so fair enough

@LukeLiang: If you have free time, you can also test what exactly does not work (compared to how it should look like) and how to reproduce it. Maybe even with savegame with only this mod enabled, so I can easilyl check it.

I am sorry I can't tell you the details of your code, as I am not a programmer and I didn't receive any proper education relating to programming back in school. But I am not very eager for a update right now so feel free to take your time.

Normaly I would expect that the mod still works fine on current version. And if it does not, I fear I'm unable to find out why, until I spend several hours to find out all the game/code changes.

Das testen ist leider nicht so einfach (brauche ja immer ein savegame der aktuellen Spielversion und ich spiele CK§ aktuell nicht), bei dem ich in einem verbündetem Krieg bin (oder gibts eine Spieleinstellung wo das von Anfang an der Fall ist?)
Ud als ich vor einer Woche das getestet habe, schien alles zu funkionieren, kann aber sein, dass nur bestimmte Konstellationen nicht mehr funktionieren.

also wenn du mir helfen kannst rauszufinden was/wann es nicht mehr funktioniert, dann kann ich gucken ob ich es fixen kann.

@cosmonewman: I just tried to test it with only this mod active:
The chracterinteraction was shown fine, but in the event I was not able to click the option to leave war. So this mod may not work in current game version.

But even without mods several things did not work as it should, so it also may be a bug from the game. So I will wait some game updates and see if it fixes itself.

@cosmonewman: please be a bit more detailed.
Is the nothing from the mod shown at all? So no character-interaction with allies you are at war with? Or does clicking the action does nothing? Or what?

I don't play crusader kings currently, so I'm not 100% sure if an update is needed or not (you can still enable the mod, even if it says it is not for 1.6)

Let me know if sth is not working as intended or if sth needs adjustment for new game features.

I think it would have been briliiant if the AI could use it too. Imagine waging war against 2 allied enemies. Yet you know of a secret of one of the enemy. If you were to reveal it to the second enemy, both would hate each other and potentially the one holding the grudge could leave the war, giving you a strategic edge. Just thinking out loud here :) great mod.

added a gamerule to tweak the costs a but. Not too customizable, but at least something:
Nothing (not even opinion), Only opinion, No Opinion (gold, prestige, honor), Default (opinion, gold, prestige, honor)

SERP, the author says: " I decided to always allow to leave war, but if there is an alliance, it will break ".
And I think he's right, because that sounds historically correct, in fact, if one of my allies abandons me during a war, of course our friendship would finish, also in real life.

Anyway I think this mod is very useful and I wished a lot that someone did it soon or later.

@RepealThe19th: yes, this scenario was the reason why I made this mod. I quit alliance (breaking marriage) to leave a war, but I was forced to stay in the war.
So I wanted to make a mod that allows to leave a war IF you are no longer allied. But then I saw that there are several more possible reason why you could be in the war and it would be too error prone to check every possibility manually (especially when mods/game adds more reasons).

Therefore I decided to always allow to leave war, but if there is an alliance, it will break.

@Serp hm, interesting, I get what you mean, thank you for the quick response!

I was just thinking how dumb it is that when the AI, or you, is called into a war due to a marriage alliance (or the Negotiate Alliance perk), they have to keep fighting that war, even if the people who made the alliance happen are dead.

For the player, that's not that much of an issue, as you can just not raise/send your troops, but the AI doesn't work that way.

I don't know how to find out the reason for participating in a war. There are several possible reasons, an alliance is only one of them. So even if an alliance breaks, there might be other reasons to stay in the war. And I don't know how to check them.

So no, I don't think I can base anything on "reasons".

@RepealThe19th: Sometimes the AI already leaves wars, but I don't know when this happens. So are you sure this is not already the case in vanilla?

Could this be somehow made for the AI, if their alliance breaks mid-war, that they leave the war? Maybe based on their personality (Honor predominantly)?
