Rn we have only a single active dev making map changes. We need devs who can code and update this mod. Dev application form still open, and I should have done this earlier but I've attached a link to it on this page aswell. If you are able to code and update and interested in becoming a dev, you'd have quite a lot of freedom

Is there going to be anymore updates? I really want to try this mod and it keeps crashing everytime I try to use it

What makes updating this mod so difficult is the massive amount of bloat that we have to adjust base content to, and the hellish spaghetti code that nobody can remember what came from where and why, and the fact that having to wait a month to be able to update to barbarossa killed all momentum and interest. I kinda want to throw my gloves in the sink since paradox works at a faster pace than us. But rn its in a limbo or a coma. Its not dead nor abandoned, but it is also not under sufficient development.

The guy from korea (Gerrade( made the first iteration "Beautiful States", then when he went to the army, Yusuf (may God rest his soul) created Beautiful States Reborn. BSR was then sold to the dev team behind Mappa Mundi (HGO) and was rebranded to HGO Lite. Then after some nonce drama regarding the guy who bought and rebranded BSR into HGOL, the nonce was thrown out and BSR separated from HGO and got a new leadership, and since then HGO rebranded to Mappa Mundi aswell. At this time there exists 3 versions, 1. BSR, 2. Satisfying States https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2673259461 made by Gerrade who returned from the army, and Pulchritudinous States https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2946366249 ran by 22 63sus who is a BSR user who got frustrated with waiting (absolute legend btw).

Plutochrutidous whatever States is iirc made by the original Dev of BSR who has mobilised into the Korean Army and gave the mod to the current team. Now he's back home and restarted the project under a different name.

I've been waiting for an update for so long that I've stopped counting, I don't think there will ever be an update, thanks anyway for this mod which works very well in 1.10.8, my game is still in this version because your mod makes me appreciate this game so much, good luck

Can you not hire/recruit somebody else to work on the mod while you can't? I'm sure many people would be able to help.

I have lost the passion for modding, especially due to a year long coding school project. Main motivators are that ppl actually like this mod and that so much effort has already been put in. And it's not dead until effort stops.

Great mod, take your time and don't listen at choosing beggarsé. They are not worth your time. They don't deserve an answer. Maybe closing steam comment for more control on the comment would be a good idea.

I can't understand how some leave rather disrespectful comments instead of thanking the devs for their work and efforts. I thank the developers from the bottom of my heart for this great mod and am eagerly awaiting the update. an update will come when it is time. it is of no use to rush into something. This mod is the best map mod and is particularly great but mostly still a work in progress. Dear devs, take your time. I trust completely in your work and that there will be updates and that the mod will continue to get better. I wish you much success. You are doing a great job that deserves respect and recognition!

Reminder that every single developer working on this mod is busy with stuff going on in real life, and has absolutely no obligation to put even the slightest amount of work into updating the mod. This was and is a passion project for all of us, and we have hobbies and passions outside of a funny hoi4 mod.

That is a very weird take from you. I havent seen the furry devs mention fursuits even once, and i dont see how a hobby would invalidate everything else they do with their life. If you only have one hobby, then that is very sad. And again, i'm a student with a job, social life and other hobbies and you arent obligated to receive updates. 22 63sus has his own version of BSR that you can play.
