I will for sure check out the reworked terraforming to see if it gets less confusing.

I chose the custom tradition Renewal and unlocked the megastructure Planet Construction, it only lets me construct Ash worlds, one of the exotic planet types from the PD mod which is listed as compatible with Omega's.
The result is that even though the planet has been constructed it is still basically uninhabitable.

After fixing I could start a game with no issues.
I also found a similar issue on Omega's Stellaris Traditions files, that was not causing any crash but I have no idea if it could cause issues so I'll leave it here as well
