ive been running this for awhile now and have yet to have it work (i've had a blood soaked map for over 2 quadrums due to no rainfall), so i am going to suggest it needs to be updated to 1.5 to function.
kad 4. juni 2024 kl. 4:28
love it
Three 29. apr. 2024 kl. 13:47
Is it safe to use this in version 1.5? :guard:
тетеря, блин 22. apr. 2024 kl. 7:46
🙏
Isaac 16. apr. 2024 kl. 7:13
@Owlchemist Are you gonna update your mods to 1.5?
Svela 15. apr. 2024 kl. 2:46
The mod ReGrowth: Core has rain functionality where rain will wash away some outside filth. That is, what would logically be washed away like blood, vomit, dirt, and other filth. Rock rubble is unaffected. I'm uncertain what would be missed by choosing ReGrowth over this, however.

Hope Owl comes back. Rimworld is still laggy on 1.5 end game

A good mod idea, definitely going to try. Also besides permeability - the sun and wind will also do their part to clear things up. I live in an area with a high UV index, and anything that isn't traeted, coated, or naturally UV resistant simply sun rots and eventually crumbles.
It's what gives ghost towns their particular rotted look - and things like blood or puke with dry out and flake away, with maybe just a faint stain on the concrete.

Believe me - you deserve a desert without nasty filth!

Do I need to set both to 250% to make it match "Filth Vanishes With Rain And Time"?
RutraNickers 27. juni 2023 kl. 8:01
Are the sliders independent from one another or is the "other filth lifespan" the basis for all filth and the "permeation modifier" is a bonus added on top of it for the liquid filth?

tl;dr: Do I need to set both to 250% to make it match "Filth Vanishes With Rain And Time"?

Hello is this compatible with blood and stains? The mod is just increasing the blood splat, stepping, and bleeding on the floor

Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 7. mar. 2023 kl. 12:42
yes
BOT Ghostie 7. mar. 2023 kl. 12:31
does it also affect the custom filth added with RJW:)
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 24. nov. 2022 kl. 7:01
@Victor - doesn't look like mine, far as I can tell. May be Vanilla Genes Expanded possibly.
Victor 24. nov. 2022 kl. 6:58
I got a weird red line when quicktesting a new generated map, it's related to filth so maybe this mod is involved? I don't understand it too much Log: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/cc8ba32433467c2f25552fad0e4549a6#file-output_log-txt-L5556

I am looking forward to more of your Mods keep up the excellent work! I am eagerly awaiting new content from you specifically :)
RelaxItsJustAGame 13. nov. 2022 kl. 19:50
What a cool idea for a mod - thank you!!
Dizzy Ioeuy 12. nov. 2022 kl. 19:16
I think I was too fast. Got it working. Need to get in there and test unstable now! With mods loaded up.
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 12. nov. 2022 kl. 19:14
Worst case scenario you can delete the whole folder with rimpy, or if you don't have rimpy, manually here: \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2629981384

Or, if you resubscribe too fast it may not delete the folder, it takes a few seconds.
Dizzy Ioeuy 12. nov. 2022 kl. 19:03
Ugh unsubscribed, etc... and still not showing up as the new version, Hate steam sometimes.
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2022 kl. 15:30
Long overdue, added patch support for Regrowth Core. Specifically, it undoes its filth duration patching so that the effects do not cause a confusing stacking effect.

Note that a load order change has been added - it needs to load after Regrowth (if you have it)
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 12. okt. 2022 kl. 14:30
1.4 support added.

@Zach - the effects would stack. You may need to increase the sliders to counter it.

@Selne - rain already washes away filth in vanilla. That mod mainly just reduces lifespan and is redundant with this one. You'd get a stacking effect.

Alpha biomes terrains I'm not sure about, I'd need to be given the def.
Packed dirt is already supported since that's a vanilla def technically
Big Head Zach 8. aug. 2022 kl. 20:37
+1 on wondering if this mod jives well with Regrowth Core's filth removal tweaks.
Selne 30. juni 2022 kl. 12:52
If using the filth vanishes with rain and time mod too, should I be setting both sliders to 250%? Or just the first one? Thanks
shane_357 8. juni 2022 kl. 21:28
Oh, there's also the stuff added by Alpha Biomes - there are biomes where the ground is entirely different and does not absorb filth.
shane_357 8. juni 2022 kl. 21:19
Could you add compatibility for various 'packed dirt' floors in various mods? (For example Alpha Meme's neolithic ___ packed dirt floor', Refined Floors, etc)
Ren 28. maj 2022 kl. 9:21
thank you for telling us how to run it with filth removed with rain
Kokorocodon 23. maj 2022 kl. 9:11
my animals thank you
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 14. maj 2022 kl. 21:18
@Autismus - I use that mod too, hmm I thought it was compatible... oh wait, as I wrote that I remember that i never had those features enabled for animals, actually. I can look into it.
Autismus Maximus 13. maj 2022 kl. 23:04
please add Compatibility with Dubs Bad Hygiene filth, there are so mine piles of ♥♥♥♥ and urine stacking in my pen, its driving me crazy
CiXwOw 20. jan. 2022 kl. 11:28
Will this mod play well with ReGrowth? The core module washes away filth with rain (which I assume is fine) but also says "Most filthy types now disappear by themselves after a certain time."
๖ۣۜFenris 17. jan. 2022 kl. 10:05
Well thanks you for your quick response :)
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 17. jan. 2022 kl. 9:29
@๖ۣۜFenris - since a few people have asked this, I added it to the FAQ above just now.

Hello, thanks for your mod, definitely quality of life improvement with [FSF] Filth Vanishes With Rain And Time.

But actually what's the real difference between Permeable Terrain and [FSF] Filth Vanishes With Rain And Time ? For me these mod do the same thing :lunar2019piginablanket:
Dizzy Ioeuy 1. jan. 2022 kl. 15:24
Man Owlchemist really IS an Owlchemist!
Jim 1. dec. 2021 kl. 5:59
Wow. What an idea. Thank you.
Lurmey 20. nov. 2021 kl. 14:54
I was about to come ask if this worked with fuel puddles and Stuffed Floor's grating but I see you've provided the xml needed to make it work so I can do it myself. Thanks!
Hyomoto 13. nov. 2021 kl. 12:12
"code durability"

Stop leaving your code outside!
Kai 13. nov. 2021 kl. 0:19
This led me to think... Can't there be a automated sprinkler system you can implement into the game as a mod that lets you keep the floor clean over time via some sort of mechanism, like say building the floor out of drainage lets you run water over it, which 'cleans' it immediately, and very useful when growing crops, or putting out fires. But it needs you to 'pipe' the water in from a water tank to utilize, or to a river.
Λ 0-0 Λ 27. okt. 2021 kl. 4:34
damn dude absolutely insane quality of life improovement for the desert
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 23. okt. 2021 kl. 7:10
To clarify what FSF's mod does, it does 2 things:
1. Makes it so rain washes away all filths. In vanilla it already does this for "bio" filth, so it basically extends this to things like rubble and building debris.
2. Reduces the lifespan of most (all?) filths to something like 2/3rd less lifespan.

In order to prevent the "double-dipping" with #2, increase the first slider only.
If you don't care about #1, but like #2, you can use the Other Filth slider instead to emulate similar results.
SunGod 23. okt. 2021 kl. 6:59
@Owlchemist Awesome mod, thanks. Question: the instructions note: "If you use [FSF] Filth Vanishes With Rain And Time, you may want to adjust the modifier to about 250%...." Which modifier do you mean? Permeation or Other Filth? And is there really much reason to keep FSF if this mod is installed? I like the idea of yours much better...
SkyLarkBlue 22. okt. 2021 kl. 17:46
Thank you! Look forward to trying it!
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 21. okt. 2021 kl. 18:22
@Sky - lotta people been asking this so I added an FAQ section above just now.
SkyLarkBlue 21. okt. 2021 kl. 18:05
Does this slow down the game noticeably? I love the idea, but I always loves to have big colonies so my game is slow enough.
Owlchemist  [ophavsmand] 20. okt. 2021 kl. 20:37
@Galaxypaper description above has the deets on that
Wolfette 20. okt. 2021 kl. 20:34
Wow I love the buildings in your base! I need to start trying new ways of building, massive compounds are mostly what I build.
Galaxypaper 20. okt. 2021 kl. 20:33
Safe to put in mid game?
