I'm not sure if the mod just isnt working or if I just dont know what im doing. I cant find the ambition in my edicts list and i cant make more dyson swarms or arc furnaces pls help.

@Super Colvy yes after Gigastructures. If u cannot build more than one arc furnace in a system maybe u just ran out of arc furnace cap and have to increase it by activating the architectural renaissance edict.

@Super Colby yes it is compatible. Gigsstructure edits some of the vanilla megastructure files. So u have to get both mods in the correct order for the changes of this mod to apply.

@s.choza001 I did not mod orbital rings. They have not been changed. The old dyson swarm limit should be increased by +20 if u activate the architectural renaissance ambition. The autocanceling even happens without the mod once the old limit is reached.

Also, and I apologize if I'm annoying you, I now can't build anymore Dyson Swarms/Spheres.Even though it shows the option to build one is available, any order I give to do so is immediately rescinded. Is there something that I might be missing?

@m3iva if in correct loading order it should work with gigastructures. Although only the vanilla megastructures are changed by this mod. Maybe one day I might create a compatability mod that also removes the limits from gigastructures. But that decision has not been made yet.

@kanashi the wilderness beta doesnt do any changes to megastructures. So this is compatible. There is a CTD when selling specimen from the grand archive the devs haven tfixed yet. But thats not related to this mod.

@CMaia which mod are u talking about? The workshop has a lot of mods with "NSC". In general it should not affect any new megastructures from other mods (they should be fine not matter the mod order). But if the other mod changes any old megastructure one file will overwrite the other. So if for example ur mod changes the look/graphic of a ringworld both mods dont work together and forces u to choose which mods ability u want by modorder.

Can you please add support to NSC megastructures? I can't build them if I already build one. I tried to build the grand shipyard around a star with another mega already built in and couldn't. I placed this mod below any mod that add any mega for compatibility sake.

@Nikola M fully removing the limit would cause the AI to spam them and ruining itself in the process. To circumvent thatI used the Architectural Renaissance ambition. Only the player can take this edict type and it now grants +20 to the kilostructure limit. That should be enough for a player to build them at hearts content after activating the edict. I am not even sure if this is a real limit, or if - after reaching the limit it would be possible to gain another +20 from disabling and reenabling the edict.

Would it be possible for you to look into making the Arc Furnace tooltip stay permanently active? once you have built the normal limit, the amount of deposits you would get disappears from the system tooltip.

@Kaifer I see, that real space 4.0 also updates the files for the ringworlds, dyson sphere, matter decompressor, quantum catapult and dyson swarm. So real space overwrites my mod if loaded in the wrong order and prevents the rule changes I made for these 5 megastructures.

Sadly this isn't working for my game. I am only running this, Real Space 4.0, and an Advisor Voice Mod. I can't build multiple ring segments at the same time. Not sure if there is a conflict, but definitely doesn't seem to be working as intended.

I can imagine some edge case where the AI builds the first stage of a megestructure (like spy orb) and then another first stage of the spy orb at another location. As the AI gets only locked out of buildng more of the same kind once it fully finished a megastructure of this kind. But usually the AI does fully finish a megastrucure first, before starting a new one. Even if this edge case happens, and stuff like 2 spy orbs get build, once one of them is completed there cannot be a third one.

@Kullgen the AI is mostly limited to default settings outside of the galactic wonders ascension perk megastructures and general megastructure placement. Meaning it should only want to build one megashipyard, qantumcatapult, think thank, spy orb, mbega art installation, interstellar assembly and strategic coordination center (not counting in repaired megastructures). It can place them at the same locations the player can. Matter compressors it can theoretically build as many as it wants - but the ai very rarely takes this ascension perk. The amount of dyson spheres the Ai can upgrade is limited by the base amount of dyson swarms. As the AI cannot take the architectural renaissance edict.

Update: The Ai now should only desire to build one of each megastructure (exept if it repairs one). The AI still can construct multiple dyson spheres and matter compressors in the rare cases it unlocks them from ascension perk.

Improved the architectural Renaissance ambiton and forbade the AI from taking it. This ambition now should provide the player with additional dyson swarm and arc furnace capacity. This way only the player can basicylls build them as much as they want while the AI has to obey the old limit.

Is it possible to spawn a leader that can build a megastructure for you like an event or a script which spawns it rather than "naturally" building it? For the same fee of course.

Sadly a player only version is not achievable, as then I would have to ban the AI from building megastructures completely. Or fully redevelop 2 separate sets of the same megastructure.
