@UmbraAtrox You cant smelt wood
UmbraAtrox 27. juli kl. 18:52
no error, but wooden objects do get ignored. Needs a "destroy designated objects" order which doesn't seem to exist. :(

Could you add filters for stockpiles please?
*Allow marked for smelt/burn
*Allow unmarket for smelt/burn

I've found in my use of the mod that it does still work, but with 1.5 smelting definitions it only works on things that are metal or by game terms, smeltable. So no smelting that wooden bow anymore. Designating these things will not work and the item will sit there. You'll have to set a burn/destroy order for that.

This is still useful if you on occasion come across that Mastercraft Steel Club that is just a waste of resources. Those high quality useless weapons you come across mid - late game.

Has never worked for me

ik this is a continuation but is there any way you could make items keep their smelt designations even after being hauled?
Unex 9. feb. 2023 kl. 9:38
One issue with this mod is that if you designate something that is in field, it then can get hauled and after getting hauled, the item loses the designation for smelting and you need to re-designate again. Doing it with weapons scattered in the stockpile is a lot more difficult than in field after battle cause you know what to keep and what to burn, especially if you use shelves that make it more difficult to see/select.

This is a very nice tool. Thanks again Mlie!

@Mlie - I was under the impression that 'burnable' does not return any resources.
I was hoping to find a mod that would give me something in return for the weapons since the weapon values were used to determine the make-up and difficulty of the raid.

The fact that I killed the enemy before they had a chance to fire the rockets is a bonus, but when I take the weapons from them only to find out they were bio-encoded and basically useless, that bites.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. dec. 2022 kl. 22:51
@ꓤOꓕ∀NƎƎꓭꓭՈꓭ 🙃 It does not add any recipes. But those weapons should be burnable if not smeltable

Will this mod allow me to smelt bio-encoded doomsday rockets and triple rockets that aren't worth selling and can't be used by my pawns?

I'm not certain if a different mod adds the bio-encoding to the rockets, but my stockpiles are full of them and I'd like to at least get some scrap metal from them since I can't use them due to the bio-encoding.
Phrozehn 9. dec. 2022 kl. 11:50
Amazing. You're great!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2022 kl. 11:33
@Phrozehn Should be added now
Phrozehn 8. dec. 2022 kl. 23:31
Small request: Can you add a button to click when we have an item selected? Like where the Haul buttons are. It'd help, especially with the new shelves. Unless I'm missing something it's only available as an order from the menu, rather than directly on items. If this is already incorporated I'm sorry for wasting your time!
timeshifter 8. sep. 2022 kl. 5:37
It'd be nice if it just supported anything... that's what the "burn designated object" thing is for, right? The mod gives no indication that it only supports certain things, and there's no clear reason why it should, IMO. If I accidentally destroy that legendary double bed I was saving for a special someone, that's on me.
Das GromGrom 8. sep. 2022 kl. 1:38
So, the problem is that the smelt designated objects bill only includes filters for weapons, not apparel. You can edit Smelt_Recipe_Production.xml and add <li>Apparel</li> to <filter> and <fixedIngredientFilter> for <defName>SmeltDesignatedThing</defName> and then it works.
timeshifter 6. sep. 2022 kl. 7:52
Every time I play with this mod, I run into the same situation of having a bunch of smeltable slave collars designated to be smelted, but trying to prioritize the smelter results in the "Need material" message. Same situation is happening with the "burn designated items" task at the crematorium, with only non-smeltable items allowed (i.e. leather body straps).
noghettoblastrs 9. juli 2022 kl. 9:49
I've played with this extensively and apparel never works. Mostly I've just dealt with it. Any way to make this work with MendAndRecycle? it's a little convoluted to specify which items i would like to mend and which items i would like to recycle.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 2. maj 2022 kl. 2:03
@Asar_Waroth Any apparel marked smeltable should work
Asar_Waroth 2. maj 2022 kl. 1:57
Any way to smelt armor? Only weapon show as available.
Meanie 21. apr. 2022 kl. 14:54
I was expecting it to be any smeltable. Sadge
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 21. apr. 2022 kl. 14:50
@PeasantUnit No this is apparel and weapons only
Meanie 21. apr. 2022 kl. 14:48
I'm not being able to use the designator on slag chunks on my modlist. "No smeltable items were selected".
Kim Jong-Un 5. feb. 2022 kl. 18:28
This is mega handy, thank you. No idea how I've played so many hours and not grabbed this yet.
