@Gamer-Tom @Unctuous Robot Thank you both for reporting the bug. I've found the cause. My fault, just a silly math error for any case where the lightbar condition is 96% or higher. I'll fix it, test the fix, and release the fixed version soon.

Yea it was K15's P19A iirc, that may be the reason I guess, but I've been able to repair them to 100% about half the time and the rest caps at 99%.

@Gamer-Tom Was that on a vanilla vehicle or a modded vehicle?

Idk if it's a bug or not but sometimes I can't repair the lightbar past 99%. It will allow you to keep repairing and wasting resources but won't go to 100 for some reason. It's not like this on all vehicles, just seems random. Otherwise its a good mod.

This mod and your other one for heaters and gloveboxes are essential in my opinion. I only mod with things I feel you should be able to do in vanilla. Something like this is a no brainer beings we have an electrical skill and find electrical components. Same with the heaters. A master mechanic, metal worker, carpenter, and electrician not being able to figure out how to fix their glove box or light bar? yeah ok lol

Shoudl at the very least be lowered the mininum 3 if it still needs level 5 like some comments claim. Level 5 is just straight up "Might as well not use the mod since it's basically pointless" territory, players are better off just uninstalling this and ignoring any damaged light bars at that point.

Everyone in this comments section complaining "why does this require level 5 electrical when most things don't require more than level 1 or 2" should instead be complaining "why are there so few valuable things in the game that require electrical skill". Lightbars are an extremely valuable utility hence why so many people want to be able to repair them. Mod is balanced fine.

Please make this mod easier to use or at least make a separate version in your mod. Be so nice.I'd love to use it on my server, but nobody wants to do the work you are requiring. Want it to be more like other repairs. Your lightbar is more complicated than fixing an engine.

Can you make a version that requires electricity level 1, and 1 electronic scrap? For those who don't want to grind the skill and only want to burn!!

Normally you dont level up electricity above 1, its also very work intensive to plunder the whole area for some radios and lamps which you can disassemble.
I would like the mod even more if there are less skill levels needed and more material instead.

@MrHrulgin I like the idea of multi-stage crafting, but this mod is meant to be simple and stay similar to Zomboid's built-in vehicle repair system. So I probably won't be looking to add any complexity to this mod. I would like to revisit the vehicle repair system in the future with a more in-depth makeover if The Indie Stone haven't revised it themselves by then, but I'm still learning so that kind of thing is currently beyond my capabilities.

I love it, but it feels easy. Given the lightbar is also a siren, could it be changed to 10% repair per noise maker? That would mean slightly lower scrap cost (7 instead of 8), but require amplifiers and the proper knowledge to make it work.

It's my goal to add some mechanism to be able to repair the currently unrepairabe/unreplaceable things on a vehicle, so heater and glove box are planned. Thank you for the encouragement and kind words.

@RoyaleWithCheese not being able to replace heaters has irritated me for a while... we can learn how to tear out/fix everything but a heater core and a glove box?
