When you pick up a block with the mouse (with the inventory open), and press the button to change blocks, you transform the block that you are selecting and its quantity to what is on the mouse (Glitch).
EX: I picked up 9999 dirts with the mouse, and 1 wood in the inventory. If I select the button to change blocks in a wood in the world, my 1 wood becomes 9999 dirts.

Updated to 1.4.4. You can now set the Pick Block button in the controls menu; Default is Mouse3

I agree with @biancapowell, the input should be customisable in the controls menu

can it rather than using mouse3 in the general options for its controls use a custom one? like in the mod controls section? since I have a mod that already uses mouse3 and I would like to change it but both have to use mouse3 within the general section.

hey, I have a commendation for if you have disabled getting new items upon clicking things in config: If you have Journey mode and have fully researched a block, can you make it so that when that config is disabled you will still get that block upon middle clicking it?
