this has nothing to do with the mod but im sad to hear see that youve been getting hate recently and just wanna say that i love your mods and was eagerly awaiting your future projects on this game that you showed off last year so even if you never make another one or finish the ones you started youre a legend and made this game way more enjoyable

@MrQ: github may or may not enforce it, but it's there (re: they have a whole page on sexually obscene content in their Acceptable Use Policies, and many of my mods include infringing content, such as images, localizations, and wording in the code itself). Thinking on the issue earlier today, I could try to make an unlisted workshop item with ZIPs of the various projects (if Steam will let me) and link to it in the description of the existing mods.

@lirmont That's sad. I like your work. The GUI is good. The initial decks you designed are good. I tried them all. Each of them can go into a very good final-stage deck as long as you added proper cards to it. Some people were just not clever enough to find out how things work. It's not your fault.
About the code, I am not sure that somewhere like github would have such strict policy. Maybe you can try to obfuscate the detail? Or you can just share it with me by private message. I commit not to share it with any others and will come back to you if I made any update.
Anyway, it would be fine if you are not willing. I still appreciate your excellent work.

@MrQ: I'm glad you like it enough to want to do something based off its existence, but it is what it is. While I intended to post the programming for all the mods I made for this game somewhere a long time ago, one of the obstacles is that lots of hosting places have generic legal clauses about the disinclusion of adult content (re: the subject matter of this type of game). Beyond that, there are license agreements for purchased content (re: music and card designs in this case) that I need to respect. As such, that's more work, and I have still have a day job; and, most of the comments I get these days on these mods are about how I'm a moron (for things outside of my control). That's demoralizing. Obviously, Steam or I delete those, so you are unlikely to see them unless you're fast.

Hi @lirmont, this mod is a masterpiece. It would be even more perfect if players can edit their own initial deck. So sad that you seem to have no intent for further update. I am willing to continue this project if you like. Please reply if you also like this project to go on.

@lirmont, great job on making this awesome mod, it makes this game much more replayable than with just the default deck. I played them all on Hard mode and this is what I found.

Bleed Deck: Not a bad starting deck, albeit quite hard. A second Haste, Wall of Ice or Stigma is necessary on 2F onwards. Also on 3F, bone piles are immune to bleed, just need to be prepared for this encounter.

Life Steal Deck: Drain Life do very little damage, it's impossible to win by focusing on Life Steal.

Draw Deck: The easiest deck to win, very strong, very fun.

Shield Deck: Oh boy, the most fun deck I've played. The starting deck is lacking a Desire or Libido Card for Lust generation which makes the first few encounter very slow, but super satisfying once you found a Libido Card.

Peerless Queen Deck: Very weird Lust focused deck, this starting deck are just so bad I don't see how it's even possible to win with this deck.

Draw deck should have Masochism to get the deck in its full effect imo, extending the combo to its fullest

@Zkichiro: I agree about custom decks. I just haven't found the time to do it. I have the user interface drawn out paper though.

@lirmont: This mod is awesome, the only thing keeping it from being perfect in my opinion is the inability to modify the custom decks. It would be great if we could change the cards in each deck to balance them or make them better. I don't know if this would be possible, but it'd be amazing if it could be done.

Not sure what that one you created could be called, but it's not a bleed deck, that's for sure.

@Sassy Lost Child: Music volume should be fixed in the latest version (1.0.3). Sorry about that.

Bleed deck: lack in defense, not much synergies imo
Defense deck: Stoneskin, Stone Wall, repeat until enough damage for Pounce
Draw Deck: very fun spammable deck, viable to do over 300 damage
Life Steal: only a matter of luck on using it
Mistress: just try not to get hit

the music audio is too loud albeit I already lower the music down to 2%, lower than that would entirely fades out the music, rendering the game without musics, the rest is okay

thanks. i was a bit hasty when i did that, but yeah. i do enjoy the game and enjoy using your mods. its just sad that the game is kinda lacking much other modding besides you. hope everyone's doing well ^^

@VO1DRU5H: Ultimately, all the decks need more damage mitigation cards to be viable for a victory run on purpose. There are lots of different choices to do that. If the decks picked that for you too, it's not that there would be even less to do in-game, but you'd probably need to forget the spells you didn't want. I don't find forgetting lots of spells on purpose to be that engaging (though using the alternate mechanics of multiple forgets per merchant visit with unbound essence softens that blow when it's required). However, you will eventually be able to make your own deck when I find the time to expand the mod, so starting with a completed deck will be a possibility at some point.

On a side note, I snuck some advice into this mod in the form of the normal difficulty boss track name on the Shield deck's track list. Mistress cards and/or weaken + life steal cards can get you through it, though you need to know the mechanics.

the bleed is also not the best from my experience, but someone may be able to find a way to make the one i failed with work

i have tried most of the decks, and i have found that the drawing deck can, (if you only add a few select cards and improve all spells) deal over 600 damage in a single turn if you get good draws, however, it is useless against the final boss due to the fact he can only take 50 damage every turn. it is busted against just about everything else. the sheild deck is one i stuggle doing right, so furter tests will be done. the life steal deck will basically lead to death if you run into a mother slime. the lust deck is decent, but not as good as the drawing one.(this is kinda my experience with the different decks)

@Murderotica: Yeah, I'm hoping there's at least one more wave of people with the 2021 winter sale. Lots of barriers to entry for making mods, though. Probably not going to change unless I write something that lets other people get involved without having to do a bunch of that other stuff.

@LinkHylian: No, each of my mods comes with a settings file, and the game also creates a save file for each mod. It's those settings I'm talking about losing. Sometimes I change the layout of one of those files to do bigger and better things, making the previous settings file and/or save file invalid (thus losing settings and/or progress). This mod doesn't change character appearance yet, and, even if it did, it would do so in a non-permanent way (meaning, you could get the appearance back by turning the mod off or uninstalling and restarting the game).

When you say that changes to this mod may change my settings, do you mean the settings that apply to my avatars physical appearance? I worked really hard to get my girl perfect.

@Sonicle: Later versions of this mod will let you make your own decks, and my intention is to provide rule sets wherein your choices are limited to something that might be permissive based on your progression within the game (with an unlimited option unlocking after you beat the final boss). As such, the existing decks would fall into one or more of these rule sets. If you haven't unlocked a rule set that applies to the deck, you wouldn't be able to use the deck. Lots of the decks I pre-programmed would probably not be available at the start of fresh playthrough of Last Evil, hopefully encouraging someone to make their own. So, I'm mostly concerned that the name, banner, card background, music, and cards in a deck fit the theme at this point, since balance (hopefully) will be accounted for by progression later.

Had fun trying the first two decks, Life steal having x2 Libdo's is just too strong IMO, Once you get finger play (pretty common card) you constantly have + 7 shields +2 draw which makes you pretty immune to the first half of the game (also you can continuously heal).

@huayu: I have added 2 Libido cards to the deck, which should turn it into a mostly Lust-driven deck. You will have to start a new game to benefit from the change. The first fight is still probably going to be difficult, depending on where you are in the skill tree. Quick Shot (which was already part of the deck) doesn't start upgraded, but upgraded quick shot is spammable at low card counts. Thanks.

Sorry, forgive me for not making it clear, that's a deck composition problem. It's about the life steal deck. When the game is beginning, I cannt get enough sexual desire point to use great majority cards, when I solved the first battle, I almost died. Oh, it's happen to hard mode, I dont know how about easy mode. And I am not sure other decks have or havent the same problem. That's all, I hope it doesn't bother you. Thanks bro.
