Don't worry, I'll try not to nerf them too aggressively, and I'll probably put the possibility for a plasma / antimatter accelerator in at that point.
yes subs exist to give resist for you, but Energy weapons are a safe bet to use in 90% of the game,
(just avoid the Rift penalty to energy weapon types, yes this applies to some plasma weapons and even antimatter weapons damage last I checked.)
No idea when 2.0 will be out of beta. Sorry! I didn't want to keep making mods that tried to maintain both 2.0 and 1.3.8 compatibility - especially weapon mods since they made so many changes to the weapon / turret generation scripts - so most of my future mods will likely not be made with 1.3.8 in mind.
