Request for a patch for Overflowing Flowers

Ok, I patched the ReGrowth Flowers with my mod. Use that mod along with this one to equalize beauty.

It has always felt weird that Tynan put his opinions about flowers into the stats... but I can at least respect that if he was going to make a flower mechanically prettier that he didn't go for the basic option of making it roses.

Ah, they probably changed something in the mod. Thanks for letting me know. When I get the chance to update this, I'll fix that. (Hopefully next week. Finally finished with my Ren Faire which took up my time entirely for the past couple months.)

heya! I was messing around with my flower beds and realized the flowers from VGP Xtra Trees and Flowers had their base values. I don't know why but the flower objects from that mod don't have the "DECO" suffix that is added to their names in this mod. It's an easy fix (just deleting the DECO from their names) but I figured I should let you know. <3

FWIW i posted the text to the patch in the discussion of your mod:

- did not complete the PathoperationAdd that would need to be done instead of Replace Text() - # that you did because ReGrowth author didn't include that attribute. For me, didn't much care to change their lifespans

I haven't had time/energy to update it to more mods lately.

I noticed flowers from:

The whole ReGrowth series, like Tundra, Swamp, Temperate, and Aspen are not fixed by your mod.

Maybe it's just at my end?

Updated to 1.4 Let me know if you have any errors. I didn't have time to thoroughly test, but no problems so far as I can tell. Should be good to go! Just a few flowers I noticed you haven't gotten to (mods you may yourself want to use):

Maybe you don't want to change these if they are considered wild though?

Mountain Flower: ReGrowth Aspen Forest Mod

Lupine: ReGrowth Tundra
Flower Cactus: ReGrowth Desert
Dervish: ReGrowth Cold Bog Expansion

Etc... I think all the ReGrowth mods' flowers.

I'm confused, my game says they come from VGP Vegetable Garden. I put the screens of the 3 flowers with details here https://imgur.com/a/B0fwoaj

It could. From what I can tell there's no garden rose or garden dayliliy in VGP either, so those are either coming from another mod or they're already covered by what I have. Try moving this mod lower than any mod that adds flowers. It has to be that way to work! :)

Thanks for your work, love it. I actually always planted the flowers I liked, ignoring their beauty bonus, and it's nice to have it now. I wonder if you may patch Vegetable Garden. It also has some flowers I use. Sorry for my English and thanks again. PS I love your sense of humor

This wasn't even a gripe I knew I had before I saw your mod. I had just accepted that Daylilies were all I would ever have. Now I can actually pick flowers that will go with my furniture and carpets! Thank you so much for this!

I didn't copy their code but I peeked at it and saw what I did wrong on mine.

Check out this mod- it did the job with xml I think and maybe the code is simple to copy? Only covered a few plants though.

I think it's reasonable tbh. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think some of the succulents are prettier than daylilies. Why can't I use those instead? :)
I'm glad you like the mod so much. I'm working on the lifespan but it's proving more confusing than I expected. Thought I had it but it caused a glitch so I'm rewriting it.

@Shei: Thanks again, amazing mod and now essential for me. Finally the flowers can be distributed more just by what you want rather than ridiculously overpowered ones always winning out. I know real life they are very different and all, but this makes it more fun imo
