I just completed it with Advanced Flight Model on with no problem at all. A very well put together mission for sure, could have been longer. Took me exactly 5min 30sec to complete from take off to landing. I feel like it could have been a bit longer, but otherwise overall awesome non-combat mission for sure, gotta love the change of pace once in a while. Keep up the good work!!

@Ostap Thanks for the feedback! I try to create scenarios for beginners and veterans alike, though that will need compromises. If you still seek a challenge you may try it with the advanced flight model on; I got very close to completing it but ultimatley gave up on it. Perhaps someone better at heli flying than me may take on the challenge :)

@zanysmith Oof, yeah. Thats Arma AI with boats. But i haven't found a way to circumvent the problem except hoping that the ship is not in the path of the boat. But thanks for the feedback!

I had a small problem where i reported the position right where the boat is and the boat team drove straight into the boat at high speeds and sunk and once that happened i couldnt really progress through the mission. not sure why it happened just wanted to bring it to your attention. :) either way, Great Mission!

Would you mind if I take your mission as a template to create something similar sometime in the future? I have a mod that has a texture for a coastal rescue version of the Mohawk, which is why this mission really caught my eye in the first place :)

Beginning the mission
My concept was to choose a random place on the whole map, but you are right that it may lead to extensive travel times
Rescuing
This may also be due to the longer travel time. The farther away the ship is, the more time is spent travelling there, thus losing time for the rescue. I reduced the radius.
Securing cargo
I'll admit that was my concern too that it may become too repetitive. I reduced the cargo amount and included a save inbetween.
Ending
Thanks! A lot of time was spent testing the multiple endings. Glad you noticed! There are 8 endings, 7 win, 1 loose by the way ;)

Securing cargo
Absolutely loved the concept and the challenge on this. Having the trawler wave in the tought conditions and the lights reflecting on the waves made for an exiting challenge and great atmosphere. The collection point was neat too, and not too far from the trawler. However, collecting the cargo got repetetive after the 3rd (how many were they, 6-7?). After I finally messed up on taking up the last one and had my helicopter blow up, I couldn't bother myself to do it all again and simply canceled the mission after reverting to the autosave.

Ending
This leads me to the endin, which was well executed and I also appreciated the ability to call the mission off. The chemlights on the man on the ground receiving you back to base was a nice touch, and I can tell there are multiple ending scenarios based on the one I got. Again, Kudos!

Hi. Just played the mission and here's my feedback:

First of all, I absolutely loved the concept of a coastal rescue mission. It's something I've been musing on myself and seeing it executed so well really ramps up the inspiration to make one myself too. Kudos for all the attention to detail, especially the little things such as pre-flight checks. Definitely deserves a like and a favorite from me.

About the objectives:

Beginnin the mission
The flight all the way from ACC airfield to the eastern coast felt a little long for my taste, same goes naturally for the flight back. Of course this is not a major issue

Rescuing the drowning man
I didn't find him, but I do not fault the mission for it (it's tough weather conditions after all). In fact, I loved that the mission get's called off after a while to prevent the player from endlessly searching for him.

@MdRk Fuel is added when you turn on the collision lights. That is done to hinder the player from taking off before the pre flight check is completed.

I have completed the mission. Overall nice and pleasant mission, but one thing: when we land on the helipad and turn engine off, all of the tasks are completed but the mission doesn't end.

@Hevron On the left side of the heli behind the cockpit there is a door painted on the model. Only there you can enter the pilot seat. It is only a small area the get in action will show up. Try facing the helicopter and stand close and it should be there.

I walked around the heli couple of times with the helmet on the head and there is no icon to enter, only to resupply.

@Wojciech Hmmm... Did it not work on the barrels? Or do you mean you tried to sling load the man? Because your task is to call the rescue boat to his position via the communications menu (0-8-1). Hope that clears things up!

seems like it has potential but player does not show up on map and when calling for rescue boat they report to grid 00000 so thats an auto fail
