This mod will make the texture of items placed on the ground appear below the plants, making it sometimes difficult to find items placed on the ground. What is the reason for this?

Seconding RoyalFox's comment about Vanilla expanded plants.
I hope you have the time and interest to look into it some day, VE is so commonly used that it's a pity there's an incompatibility ^^

@jtseyman This mod simply patches all plants... so it should. But I've never tested it with that mod specifically.

@RoyalFox @frickheckcrud This mod likely needs updates and patches to account for an extended variety of plants. I will see what I can do.

Vanilla more plants expanded adds aquatic and desert grow zones but Grow Anywhere patches it so that the crops can only be grown in regular grow zones and nothing can grow on the Aquatic or Desert patches (Negating the feature of being able to grow on sand and water) No errors are thrown, it just simply shows the zones as blank.

@PunkyRoo is agarilux intentionally not added to the things we can freely plant? i want to grow lots of those glowing shrooms.

does this also allow grass to grow under roofs?

rayin i just wanted to grow plants in total darkness, adding another way to give them light doesn't help me.

@Darthdud0 The goal of the mod is try to reduce (as much as possible) about where, "physically" a plant can be planted and grow... not to alter it's light needs. So you can plant trees in hydroponics... or corn in gravel... but both need light to grow. Your request sounds like there needs to be a separate mod called Plants Don't Need Light.

remove the light need for plants please, the picture shows corn underground but they still need 51% light, meaning unless there is a sun lamp just out of shot you can't grow anything underground, if they didn't need light then anything could be grown underground without sun lamps.

grow zone over sand please? saguro cactus requires 5% fertility, sand is 10%, but vanilla still doesnt allow grow zone over sand for some reason

same thing happened on my spacecraft hydroponics just now.
I do not have this mod installed yet, so I don't think this one is to blame.

Great mod! And is it possible to remove the biome limit of planting?

There seems to be a glitch where you can grow multiple crops in the same pot if you change the type to be planted after already planting it. Not sure if this is a conflict with some other mod or just this one though

Any chance you could add night time growing? I find it incredibly stupid that my cave mushrooms that can only grow in the dark, cant grow at night, presumably... because its dark. please help.

@777carelessguy Sorry, I do not. :( The mods are likely on a case by case basis, so I'd seach in the workshop for "grow XXXX" Where XXXX = whatever plant you are wanting to grow.

@777carelessguy Ahhh... gotcha. This mod does not add the ability to sow all plants. If you couldn't sow them before, this mod won't give you that ability. This mod just let's you plant the plants you already have the ability to plant, but you can plant them in more places. Does that make sense?

@PunkyRoo i have tested the mod on 1.2 and i was able to plant unplatable trees under a rood. i think it should be fine giving the mod a 1.2 tag... as it at least works for me. screenshot below

Well just all plants. Ones i dont have research for ( cocoa trees, devilstrand, and anima grass ) but also other ones. Like, i have research done to let me plant trees but it still only lets me plant trees from my current biome, which is sad cause i wanted to plant all the stuff from alpha biomes, since theres several new materials and drugs from those plants.

@PunkyRoo the reason i am still using 1.2 is because many of my mods that i use havent been updated to 1.3 yet. i will try using it on 1.2 and will relay it to you if it works. if it does this mod should be up to get the 1.2 tag too

@≠KonKon, Fox of the Breeze≠ Technically this might work for 1.2 but I probably won't explicitly create a 1.2 version, as the main version of the base game has moved to 1.3. Is there a reason you are still on 1.2?

@777carelessguy This alters all plants to give them the sowing types that allows them all to be planted in the soil, hydroponics, or pots. What specifically are you having a problem with? What plant(s)?

Does this only work with plant pots? I tried to use a growing zone and it didnt seem to be affected by the mod.

@ProfZelonka I have not tested this with other mods, BUT it should theoretically work with any modded plants, as this patch affects everything in the game that is listed as a plant. So, if you load this after the other mods, I imagine it should work. let me know if it doesn't and I will look into explicitly supporting it.

Any support for other mods like the expanded vanilla growables?

Try adding in <altitudeLayer>Item</altitudeLayer> to the plant defs through a patch. That's what the potted flowers use.
