the crown isnt bad, and i think its cool that you are trying to make a subtle reference to some historic media, but i think the item needs a bit more to it in order to stand on its own without relying on the reference to carry it. maybe changing scout's hair to be longer and messy so it more resembles monkey fur a little bit. maybe even making scout's ears just a *slight* bit bigger would help make scout look more chimp-like without outright making him look animalistic.

Hahah, no no, it's based off of the character "Sun Wukong", from an old Chinese Novel called "Journey to the West". In a lot of drawings of the character that I've seen, he's worn a crown similar to this one, though it seems to change depending on whoever draws the character.
