Perhaps the spells it casts were CA's way of reflecting the slann bouncing spells through them. Maybe a solution could be making the spells it has in vanilla as bound abilities? Perhaps not the best but just spitballing.

I assume it's because that would be really difficult to implement, if not impossible due to engine limitations. Can't help but wish they figured it out though, it would've been cool if you could select the Oracle and have your Slann's spells pop up

In lore and tabletop both Oracles and Priests are "Arcane Vassals" which means a Slann can bounce spells off of them. This is represented in game via the bound comet spell it can get in it's skill tree. Oracles are however 100% not spellcasters and have no ability to cast magic themselves. This was the case in lore and on TT but for whatever reason not in TW.

Doesnt the oracle cast in lore? Or allow slann to cast through it?

The aquatic trait gives a 20% buff to MA and MD when in shallow water

Large entities suffer no penalties from water. In this case it would have no impact but if there are any small monsters (not sure tbh), it could theoretically help them.

does aquatic have any effect on monsters?

Indeed it is. I added that to their battle personality and it replaces it nice and easy.

Is giving the oracle a missile weapon in battle_entity_stats_tables what got rid of the second spit attack? I've been trying to figure that out.

Because the Skink Oracle is woefully overtuned, unloreful and also goes against the tabletop. This is my first attempt to rectify that.

Because they're overpowered and out of line with lore and reason.
