crashes are usually caused by games new items that remain unlisted in the files of the mod, then when mod maker updates mod files to include all new items and ships in latest version of game, whamo ! The MOD then works....

I've now confirmed that the mod crashes the game during main mission fights. Fix would be appreciated ;]

i have tested only this mod activated and still crash. i dont know why maybe because i play the story?

Do you have any other mod activated? It could cause crashes if two mods change the exact same thing...

And I mean it, because even on normal there is no ship currently in the game that can effectively survive(so far without mercs) against a 3-5 ship fleet in 400-600 range. While longest range attacks do not severely damage your shield, getting damage from weapons of all ranges will make you dance for 5-10 seconds, watching shields go to red, then pray for PTE, which will most likely end up in death. With this mod? I don't even want to imagine it. Bye-bye capturing ships, that's dead certain.

So basically a mod that tunnels the game into PTE kite with 1000 range? Fair, but not very fun.

Sure it is, but this mod is primarily an example mod so modders can see an actual example of an assembled mod. And eventually I suppose the things this mod affects will be linked directly into the default game (not as it is right now, but a later iteration).

We'll update the mod once we get the mod updating working properly :).

Hi, a few things. First, I really like this mod. Fights are REALLY fast now. But, it seems that you forgot to change the damage of fighters/bombers. Also, is it possible to create different variations of this? Like, 10x more damage, 5x more damage, 50x more damage, etc... ?

Anyone got a problem with modmanager? This thing cant see my steam client running. Steam client not running so browsing bla bla bla. Please login to steam client bla bla bla. Anyone gor such problem?

ok so i added 2 mods a couple of days ago. now when i start the mod app it says steam browser not running... it is... mods cannot be downloaded or uploaded

And to add a bit more. We're working on implementing Workshop in a standard elegant fashion so you'll simply "Subscribe" to a mod, and then install and activate it through the game altogether. No Manager involved. We've primarily created the Manager to make it possible to assemble and upload mods to the Workshop :).

2.right click on Starpoint Gemini 2 in your games list
3.open properties and switch to the LOCAL FILES tab
4.click on the Browse local files
5.this will open the game root directory where you can find SPG2ModManager.exe :)

True. We've noticed that ourselves. Precisely why it isn't implemented directly into the game ;). We've released it as a mod because we were testing it out as a mod to later be implemented into the game (after more tweaking of course) :). Thanks for the feedback!

You're absolutely correct Dude! This mod, that we use to test some balancing stuff, is on our side used with a lot weaker starting ship. If you're using the mod on a new game, then it will be waaaaaaay too easy ;). Both the Myrmidon (as the starting ship) will be changed, and the SHREDDER weapon will be removed on starting a new game. SHREDDER is a unique weapon, and will only be gained by finishing a quest or by locating it on a special derelict, much like other unique weapons/equipment... But thank you for pointing it all out :).

My fights now feel to short. I don't even have to change course. I just press R, B, F and enemy has been defeated... Yes, these are the ones that jump you while traveling, but still this is way easier then without the mod.

This was with no ship upgrades, started a new game for this mod to try it.

So maybe bit more shielding for enemies so they last a bit longer? Also the real problem I think is the starter gun on the right side of your ship, shredder I think? It's way to powerfull with mega range as well. You never really need another gun!

Hope this info helps with the balancing.

:D ok... we can call it "the easy mod" too. It can get more frantic with this one. Remember, the enemies also punch harder ;).

hahaha you mean "easy mode" :D The pace of the game feels accelerated and even though you die more quickly your enemies can't dodge as well as you can :P

Still, a good proof of concept for the community. :)
