:steamthumbsdown: While this is a fun and creative map, it feels like it doesn't make sense. The way the guns are located, and other elements feel out of place. It's hard to find the story in this mod. So, even though it was fun and I had a good time, I just recommend it.

@MrRalphMan Nice, I will watch you video if I can find it, maybe you can post a link to it here or send It to me directly. On YouTube I didn't find it but I always love watching play through videos of my maps. I remember that some others missed the smg too so that's my fault for not making sure that the player picks it up, when I made this map I didn't have much experience with making any maps or games so I overlooked it. I hope you enjoy the rest of my maps too. Im exited to hear about your opinion on Resistance Revenge 3 since im working on an update right now. Thanks for the feedback :steamhappy:

Hi, this is the second Mod I've played of yours and again I'm pretty impressed. I absolutely hated the sewer section and if you find my video you can hear me whimper there.

I shot myself in the foot, almost inversely literally, as I missed the SMG in your starting apartment. Oopsy, which meant I was buggered at the end fight. That's most certainly my fault and not yours.. lol

I had no major issues while playing, well a few of my own making. Mainly getting stuck on things in the last area as I just could not see.

Great Mod and I will be playing the rest of the series.

@sadmemes☹ Thanks, I will make the last area better in an update. Spawning the soldiers so close next to each other, like in those corridors, can cause them to run into each other which can mess up their path and make them just stand there. There is an easy fix for this which I just learned while making Resistance Revenge 2. I will implement it into this map when I have time. Thanks for playing and reviewing the map ;)

amazing map, the last combat area could be better with a bit more space, and the combine stalled for a while so i had to throw a grenade around a corner to get them unstuck but besides that this was amazing, great job!

@drpeppercan I think that one guy got stuck in a hallway. Just restart the encounter and it will work... Sorry about that, I remember back then when I made the map that I fixed this issue but this could randomly happen if you're unlucky I guess

I am enjoying this map very much. I am near the end where you are in this large room with lots of computer desks. I have pushed the button near one of the shielded entrances, and killed all the combines, and the action music is still playing but no one is coming out anymore and the shields are still on. Aren't the shields supposed to go off when the last soldier falls?

@mirnj In what part of the map are you at? If you're in the trainstation, then you have to find the 3 buttons to open the door. If you're in the office then a soldier is probably hiding somewhere. If the part of the map bugged out try restatring it from a checkpoint. I made one when you enter the office

As far as addons go, I only had your level enabled, and nothing else, which I could confirm.

Yeah but someone else had a similar issue with the last fight, so I think that it might have to do with other addons that are on when playing or something that I overlooked. Maybe it's not an issue but I'm going to see what I can do and what may have caused it

No issues here. Just reporting on what I experienced, and I understand that sometimes stuff happens. I list my basic PC and VR specs to give you a starting point for fault isolation (true,it is only a single data point).

Thanks for the feedback! Im sorry that the last battle didn't work as I expected it to. I made it so that the barrier gets disabled after all enemies are killed. I'm going to update this and fix the issue with the door but I can't explain why the barrier didn't get disabled. I've played it multiple times and also watched playthru videos and no one had that issue and honestly I don't know how to fix it. I placed an enemy_finder in the last room so that they always know where the player is and I made the AI push the player, so they wouldn't hide somewhere where they couldn't be killed and I made the path so that they run into the room. I think this is just an unfixable bug or had to do with the door. In the map I'm working on right now (which is about 80% done) I'm going to make sure I get more playtesters so this doesn't happen again.

Overall, the level was a good time, with a competent, if linear style of gameplay. The graphics were fine, but after playing HL:A workshop levels for over a year, a lot textures/assets are getting overly familiar for myself, so the graphics did not 'pop out' for myself like they would in earlier times. That final part of the game, there is some real awesome potential there.

I discovered I could go back through the door that entered the room, and basically herd them one by one closer to the door, becoming a 'shooting fish in a barrell' scenario (well, it wasn't that easy, but the difficulty certainly lessened). Locking the door behind me would've 'forced' me to deal with the situation, instead of discovering a way to 'cheat'.
- After finishing the final scene, and all enemies were dead, the combat music kept going, pushing the one button in the room didn't do anything further (other than summoning the enemies the 1st time), so I couldn't proceed any further, or at least I didn't know how to.
So I wound up using a cheat called 'Dev Teleport' to get through the barrier, and after making the left turn and opening the door, found out I was at the end of the level.

- The scene where you first get the flashlight was impressive with respect to atmosphere. As soon as you put the flashlight on your gloves, and the enemies appear; that was a truly shocking moment for myself (Well Done!). Going through the rest of the tunnel had good atmosphere, but standard enemy encounters.
- My compliments to the vending machine concept, it was a unique touch (or at least not one I've seen used very often) that provided handy for myself.
- The final scene was a mixed bag for myself. At first I was getting my butt kicked (opposing enemies on opposite sides), which started having me use the furniture around me as cover, which than became really fun, especially when one side of enemies would seem to flank me while I was concentrating on the other side. This was really cool,fun and unique, until.....

Played on an i7-8700, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070Ti on a Valve Index (90Hz refresh, motion smoothing on). Observations are as follows:
-Smooth locomotion and smooth turning were just fine, and framerate was consistent throughout the level.
- It was overall a very competent level, with a good, if flawed (for myself), ending.
- With the exception of the final stage, everything had an overly linear feel to it, almost like I was on rails, but with a few areas where I could get off the rails (e.g., combat). For example, a lot of hallways had all doors locked except one for you to go through; this reduced/eliminated any sense of fun in exploring the environment. This made it feel like Doom from the old MS-DOS days.
-Enemey encounters, for myself, were pretty standard fare (with the exception of the final stage).
- For ammo inside of washing machines, you can Gravity Glove them right through the washing machine lid. Neat trick, but breaks realism.

@Sgt_Carbonero Did the music end in the computer room? If not then at least one enemy was still alive. I can look into it and make sure that they stay in the room and not hide in the hallways but I changed the ai of them to do that already so I think you might have an addon installed that changes the look or something else about the combine. If not then one just bugged out and I will look into it and see what else I can do. The vending shop should work normally because it's stored in the files of the addon. You don't need to add any other addons for it to work. I would just resubscribe to my map and see what happens. Thanks for your feedback I hope this fixed the issue. Banger of a map! Super fun fights with a heightened sense of immersion. Literally felt so immersed in this map I think the blinking lights were a major reason why. Moreover you had some great scenes that I stopped and admired for a little, especially the hallway like ones- they felt like I was in a movie they were so cinematic! You've certainly got a knack for making maps. Will be looking forward to your next one :D

@Sgt_Carbonero Can you try loading an addon called Air Exchange Arena and see if the vending machine prefabs work there for you (it's the same one that is in this map)? Remember you need to grab the handle on what you want to buy and pull towards you to release the item.

Regarding the computer room bug, was the music still playing or did it fade out? If the music was still going, then one guy may have been stuck in their spawn point.

I'm not sure if its a bug or what but i defeated the bad guys in the computer room but i saw in Skummehs video one of the doors had opened but mine are still closed. Also, the vending machine did not seem to work: when I inserted resin i could not pull the levers; pushing the button only released the resin back to me? i will watch your walkthrough now.

Thanks for the feedback. The Zombies and the battle with the button are a part of the story, so I think I'm not going to change that because I want to prepare the player for the last battle by giving him control over the waves. In my future maps, I'm going to make it more natural with a trigger or an onpickup like I did with the flashlight. I am however trying to fix the music from the train station battle, I am also going to reduce ammo and fix some small vis issues like zombies clipping through doors and other smaller things. I'm going to release the update in an hour or so. Anyways thanks again for the feedback I really appreciate it :)

I really liked the layout of the last room. the vending machine was cool and I wish I has saved more of my resin. Battles here were fun as well, but it would be best if again the action started through a natural trigger rather than a push of the button. The last suppressor also seemed to get lost and there was no way to go after him. Good stuff and I look forward to seeing refinements of the map.

This map has good potential. Combat was good in that the combine moved well to maintain pressure on Alex. A few suggestions to make it better. I found the dynamic of pushing a button to start a combat sequence to meaningfully take away from the potential tension of the encounters. I would suggest finding a way to integrate the trigger with Alex's movement or effort to open something, etc. if the trigger tied into the natural action of progress through the level it would be much more fun. The Zombies in the rooms seemed to be somewhat of an after thought and only there to absorb ammo, again if they woke up as you walked past them or somehow provided an element of surprise it would be great. The Zombies in the tunnel are an exception, well done there.

Thanks for playing my map again! I'm glad you had fun and you enjoyed the combat. I'm definitely going to fix the weird zombie, I'm going to fix the suppressor, the music at the end will be fixed, I'm going to place the ammo from the apartment somewhere else, I'm also going to make the music change in the 3 wave fight in the train station as you suggested and I'm trying to fix the lag but I can't say if I can. I'm releasing the update with the fixes today. Your feedback really helps me improve my maps. And as last time I'm going to put this video on the workshop page if you're ok with it :)

A fantastic and challenging combat-heavy finale is the highlight of this action-oriented map, but the overall visual, layout and sound design elements are great as well.
