Hey there! I use the mod on single player (using your custom map as well) and so far, my Horse has yet to refresh their pattern.
I would really recommend to anyone worried about the single player- to give it a test run anyway, it worked out for me.

Is it normal for the horses (once you tamed them) to change their designs? When I leave my world and go back on it, I see that my horses have changed their colors and their patterns

Will be this available on ASA?

Just tested it using the dino storage mod, and not single player restart, and the patterns do stay.

These two are the same species, and same colors, but different patterns. However, I have the feeling it was done using the male/female dimorphism that some species have (such as shadowmanes), so it wouldn't work here. Sadly.

I don't have enough of those equuses to be positive though. I have four, the two female are both striped, and I believe both males are spotted. It *could* be a coincidence that I just happened to catch four patterned equuses and their pattern breakdown was just along male/female line. (I doubt it, but it could happen)

I would really love to use this mod, but sadly, only play single player.

However, there is a mod called Patterns... nuff said, that *seems* to have at least two patterns for their equus (a spotted and a striped) that don't reroll when the server restarts. These seem to be the same equus character_bp, though I haven't tried breeding them.

While I understand about the size issue, I would love to use these even if they can't breed together, they are all gorgeous.

Of course, I already have a problem with collecting equus/horses, so this wouldn't really help...

I got so excited for this mod just to be hit with the description of the mod saying "For servers only"
I have never ran into a mod of this sort, that was limited to servers only for whatever reason. That's really sad. I would love this for singleplay. No idea why it wouldn't be able to be a singleplayer thing, but I guess it just isn't. Oh well, sorry but I guess I can't use this mod then.

Do these horses still kick to knock out dinos? It could be just the server I'm on..

I think that is the speciality of Equus Variants , that you can breed all Variants with each other and dont know which pattern will come.

There are 39 possible patterns so this will be 39 Character_BP = bigger Mod size, etc.

In my last comment is a mistake: it should be: Cause I think they use a lot of Character_BP so you CANT breed every horse with each other.

But here only the same type of haroses can breed with each other so pinto with pinto, but pinto with andalusian can not. I think this would be a fair trade btw.

Show me this horse mods, please! Cause I think they use a lot of Character_BP so you can breed every horse with each other. This horse mod just use one Character_BP ;) what seems to me more natural.

Other horse mods don’t retool which make them better. This needs to change because we get some really awesome horses that we can’t keep! Rerolling is pointless.

You said rerolling coats happens in single player, but not servers. Does non dedicated count? Can I just play non dedicated and have the coats stay the same?

I’m sad it doesn’t keep the colors on Single Player. Can it not be “fixed”? 🙏🥹

tamed horses switch model every time you start the game. hope this can be fixed.

I would love to use this mod in single player, even with only the brown and white colors, because in the end you could still get mutations in and change the colors. Another workaround would be to set each variant as it's own custom creature/variant. (I think the mod RR-Horses does that)
I still hope that you might find a solution for it, so all players ca enjoy this - in my opinion - best horse mod for ark.

I think it would be nice to make the only white and brown but not changing version aviable for single player. I mean you can always just repaint them.

Yeah this happens when you play SinglePlayer. I tried to change this but it does not help, unfortunately

the pattern of my horse keeps changing whenever I load into the map and its annoying.

Just recently played on the Caballus map and I love the horses so I've downloaded this mod so I can have them on the other maps!

The colors and patterns of my horses change everytime I load the game. Any way to stop that?
