Just so you know, mentioning in the title or your game page that it still works is a good idea. Also, just 'fake' updating it, so the updated date is more recent is another way to tell people the mod still works.

No, at the time I made this mod there were no company logos implemented in the game yet. ATM I have no time to check if it is possible. Probably I will try in the near future as it would be cool to have real logos linked with their real companies

Have you tried giving the company's real logos too? I've found many logos online that work, but I don't know how to mod them by giving them their IRL logos.

Went looking straight for a real company mod as soon as I bought the game, anyone know if still compatible

Just checked the compatibility with Beta 1.5.5. Everything works fine.

How about some more older companies, Sinclair who made the spectrum computer, Ocean (one of the biggest game developers of the 80s) Sensible Software (big on the Amiga and Atari) For modern ASUS Good work btw.. hope you find a way to have them appear at the correct points in history selling the correct software/hardware

you should do a mod on software names......because they have the stupidest names for software, ugh...

Thanks for the feedback. Initially I made this mod for my purposes with the companies I like. I just thought to upload it to steam workshop as it took me some time because I am just a hobby modder. I just made the mod because I was long time looking for such a mod. There are a few but with other game changes like new software types etc. I just wanted to have real companies because I was bored after playing since years now with the generated names.

Just wondering what happens if you name your company one of the names above (e.g, Nintendo) and then aforementioned company comes along? (Lawsuits? Anger? Consumer confusion?...lol)

This is not a bad idea. I will think about, probably I will upload a second version as there are also some feedbacks from other mod users that they like the full name of the companies.

Suggestion: As you mentioned its not possible to liink software types to the companies, maybe it would be good to slightly rename the companies, like "Epic games" could just be "Epic", that way when the in-game company turns into an anti-virus type it will less odd and people will still associate the name with the real world counter part.
