The model is pretty good! I had a lot of fun playing with it, I love the ammo indicator on the magazines, very nice touch. The only critisism I have is that I think the blaster sound effects sounds very low, I wish it was a little louder like in the movies. Also the ammo is wayyy too small but I guess it's meant to be movie accurate, it's just that I had a really hard time looking for them bc of how small they are. Overall a great mod, thanks for your efforts!!!

This is only a model/sound/ptfx replacement, you might be playing on a different difficulty level.

The problem is i think i have to go back to another Mod where the Gun doesnt have a decreased effectiveness against enemies.

3shot to the headcrab. the original gun used only 1, 2 if it was on a Zombies head. now its 3 for EACH headshot.

Please fix this or put a damageupgrade in the mod...

Does the mod only work at the start of the game where russel throws the pistol, do you get it somewhere else in the game. Since when i opened the game it as just the same pistol. or is it because i have upgrades on the pistol?

i dont know if i should have ask you for permission or if its actually just ok the way i did. Do i need your permission? i apologize if my decision was wrong.

your DL-44 Blaster replacement mod was a big inspiration and my starting point to create assets for a map that looks like star wars.

Serious question here. Why hasn't anyone made the Mandolarian IB-94 Pistol/blaster yet for HLA. It would be my go to pistol for sure. Love that gun and would love to try it out on this platform. Please, somebody make this MOD. Cad Banes LL-30 Blaster would be a nice MOD to check out as well.

I definitely feel like this blaster could be something in Half-Life 2. The game takes place in eastern europe, where confiscated Mausers were used frequently early on by the Soviet military. Combine technology usually involves lasers, so it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to think that a rebel may have used combine blueprints and technology to modify an old Mauser into what we know as the DL-44 blaster. Only probable difference would be that the lasers would be blue instead of red.

the skin is very good! i love the tracers and the scope and laser are on par the only thing i dislike is how you cant ♥♥♥♥ it back and there is a bug with the extra mag where it only stays at 19 and when you put a new mag in it still stays at 19

Amazing custom weapon! Feels spot on to the original thing and is so clean to shoot. Love the tracer effect on the bullet as well, stellar work! There was a super minor thing I noticed- I couldn't use the grav pull on mags dropped from combine bodies, I actually liked the immersion factor of bending down and looting corpses but wanted to let you know. Thanks for making such a cool gun, will be using it often :)

now to be more specific: i loaded up a brand new game of chapter 2 with all other addons disabled. when i grabed the magazine from the zombie next to the gate and tried to put it in the gun it made the swoosh noise that the gun makes when it gets a mag but the magazine stayed in my hand unchanged, when i droped it it fell trugh the ground. the game told me to release the slide but i could do anything manualy and when i hit the release button it made a sound but nothing else, also when i look at the gun in the selection menu it tells me that it has 10 ammo in it.

Very cool replacement - I especially like the new firing particle effect, the attention to detail with the mag (and bullet reservoir) that counts how much "energy" is left in a magazine, and the lack of a normal slide (meaning 1 less step for reloading, much like the actual blaster). My only real gripes with this are that the iron sights are off (you have to compensate by shooting lower than intended) and the lack of an indicator for single / burst fire modes.
