They last the entire game and are recruited from the second turn as two legendary heroes (immortal and with a unique skill tree) but keep in mind that they consume what two heroes like imperial captains or dwarf clan lords, etc. In addition, the original Gotrek and Felix will continue to appear when we meet the tavern construction requirements and will leave after thirty turns (let's say that for a while we can have two Gotrek and Felix at the same time)

The mod is very good but unfortunately when you start a campaign with the Empire you notice that Gotrek and Felix count as two imperial captains. By deactivating this mod (since captains are essential to me) I could no longer recover the campaign.
It would be nice if Gotrek and Felix didn't take the slots of other heroes. All the best.

El mod esta muy bien pero desgraciadamente cuando inicie una campaña con el Imperio observe que Gotrek y Felix cuentan como dos capitanes imperiales. Al desactivar este mod (ya que los capitanes me son imprescindibles) ya no pude recuperar la campaña.
Estaría bien que Gotrek y Felix no ocuparan los espacios de otros heroes. Un saludo.

Fixed an issue where Felix wasn't actually mounted on his demigryph on the campaign map :)

I actually did a mod of this were there is no demigrphy, as initially I wasn't sure where the conflict was coming from that I can upload if you want.

@cord I just set their upkeep to 0 using RPFM... It's under "db/main_units_tables/cpx_gf" scroll to the right until you see "upkeep cost", then set all 3 of them to 0

Hi. Just tried this mod with tombkings and it is broken... It works fine but upkeep cost for Felix and Gotrek ruins economy so you need to lover their wages :) other than that great job :)

I already recruited Gotrek and Felix in my SFO Empire campaign but Gotrek is a lord that can recruit army, so is this mod Save game compatible and will I just have 2 Gotrek? 1 Lord 1 Hero? or I need new campaign?

hey, I play as vampire Nerarch Brotherhood faction, Gotrek and Felix keep spawn in my region, can u make them recruitable in a particular building such as: Tavern of the Empire?

Do they not spawn if you're under siege on turn 2? I missed them that way on a faction that normally gets them

@(Preußens Gloria) Friedrich II They should appear for you only, however, the AI might still get their vanilla counterparts. I tried to remove them too, but last time i tried it broke a whole bunch of stuff.

@=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil Do you mean as in having these work the same as the original ones? You could try overwriting the spawn script and exchanging the unit IDs, but i can't really help you with this, since i have no experience with lua, and last time i tried to do that it broke lots of scripts.

Saebbi I do hate to sound like a pain and keep asking, but how would I remove the spawn conditions from this mod so it's default to the original spawning?

Or could that not happen as these are complete new characters?

I got them on my already started Chaos campaign. Not sure what is going on there.

EDIT: Checked the other comments and just downloaded the execute useless lords and heroes mods. That should address my issue.

So does every faction that gets Gotrek and Felix get them as legendary heroes as well? For example, I encounter Gotrek as a Lord with pretty much all the factions that can get them and usually the AI does something weird with Felix. I guess I just want to know if I am facing the factions that get Gotrek and Felix, will I be fighting multiple iterations of Gotrek and Felix as well? Just curious and it would be great if this mod only changes the player faction.

I really think the Demigryph mount needs to go for Felix. It's 1) unloreful, 2) of questionable value given Felix's skill set, and 3) visually horrific.

@chubbyninja89 (TNB) sounds like the workshop is acting up (once again). If you're using KMM, use the "unsubscribe and delete" option on this mod and then resubscribe, that will force the workshop to download the newest version. Or you can unsubscribe and go to /steamapps/workshop/content/594570 and delete the "2386491114" folder and then resubscribe.

Neither of my mods (the ones you mentioned), should effect this mod. Close your mod manager /launcher, unsub from this, and then resub.

Also, you should use kaedrins mod manager

Sorry for reposting.

I just tried starting a new campaign, and using might starting oathgold to buy a basic character rune, and it still doesn't work for Gotrek and Felix.

The only other mods I have turned on that might effect Oathgold or Character Runes, or at least how it's used is that Oathgold Upgrades mod and the Unlimited Rune Crafting one, which just takes off the limits of how many things you can craft.

But those are the only mods I can think of that might possibly effect character runes, though I'm not sure they would.

I ran into a problem with this mod.

When playing as the Dwarfs, I found that Gotrek and Felix could not use character runes.

Is that because they can't get them for other races or something?

Though there is just one little issue I've seen with the game.


The Globetrotter skill seems a little silly.

I just think that the MA and MD bonuses should be either 5 or 10, as they just seem to be a little random. And I think that for such heroes, it should be either a very basic or very powerful bonus, as they are pretty powerful already.

I accidentially broke a script with the last update. It should be fixed now, but you'll need to start a new campaign.

after spending all day troubleshooting i have determined this mod is now causing issues with a few other mods that it used to work fine with

with this mod enabled i can no longer see the respec lord option in the UI framework from the unlimited respec mods, it also completely disabled the use of the legendary confederations in the MCM. when i turn off gotrek as hero, everything works like normal again.

Hello just to add onto Darkwolf's post, also seems to disable Thoreks artifacts machanic. None of the items needed to craft the lost artifacts seem to spawn on the campain map as theres no runic circles around the settlements where they should be, and when clicking the items in the craft menu it dosent zoom to their location at all. Tried capturing the settlements where they should be to see if it was just Ui pieces missing but the items just dont exist at all. Happens on both Vortex and Mortal Empires. Still love the mod though and don't play without it.

Hey @Saebbi. I love this mod and i've been using it since you released it. But since the lastest update you released, this mod seems to mess with "Execute usless Lords and heroes" and the Beastmen faction in general. For the Beastmen, it seems to disable the herdstone mechanic, as in, when you click on a settlement, the numbers that usually appear are absent and the stone no longer produces dread. Also, it messes with the Lord and hero page for the beastmen.

@Lampros G&F's vanilla counterparts should not appear after this update, since the script is now overriden by this mod. They both also work just like any other immortal hero, they get wounded and take a few turns to recover.

Yeah, that's how I remembered. But I hadn't played the game much over the last 6 months, so I was wondering if anything's changed. In that case, do you know if the mod that lets you "execute" unwanted characters works for the vanilla Gotrek and Felix?
