Would you mind if someone took this mod and updated it to 1.4 and made some changes (persona weapons, different research possibilities?)

My recent playthrough was with tribal colony and before starting I installed some mods to enrich neolithic playstyle. This one too, and sadly It’s not what I expected. While weapons themselves look great I never had a chance to use them :( Both of those look like something neolithic people can use, but in reality locked behind medieval researches. As tribals your pawns can’t craft them, and, if you playing normally (without era limitations), those weapons become obsolete very fast. I’d suggest moving them to neolithic research and make them craftable at simple crafting spot so that they can be useful for neolithic and part of medieval era.

@Nult The thrumbo weapon itself is so valuable that when a very threatening raid arrives, you may see the raider equipped with it. However, the equipment applies only to high-rank raiders.

If you don't want the raider to be equipped at all, open the Def file for this mod and remove the weapon tag item.

nice mod, but enemies have a chance to spawn with these weapons? or can only the player have them?

Since the description doesn't seem to mention it, the Thrumbow does very high scratch damage when the wielder is in melee, almost like having two weapons in one. Perfect for pawns with high skill in both shooting and melee.

Also, the weapons take FOREVER to craft, so be prepared.

I never thought I was going to use this mod because of all the guns that are available in larger modpacks but this has been my main focus in my medieval playthrough, weapons of the gods. It is very hard to kill a thrumbo with only medieval weapons and traps

The problem is that proper status adjustments and bow definitions seem to be incorrect. I don't know if something is missing or I've added the wrong definition, but when I test it, all the bows won't fire.

I tried to create a compatibility patch for Combat Extended, but it failed. I do not know the proper status adjustment for CE.
Anyone who is familiar with CE could create a CE patch. If someone can create one, please create a CE patch mod.

@Si-Cafe - yes, could be a solution. Some tribal-med mod exclude completely more advanced tech, and research. But i mean, with RIMMSqol it should be easy to change the ressources needed, to gold, silver, jade, or whatever people wish.

@Vattende I'm sorry I had never played a tribal, so I hadn't thought that far.
I'm tagging them as reward just in case, so maybe it could be get as a quest reward.

While i love this mod-idea, i think it would be nice having a tribal version. Using plasteel, and fabrication at smithy make it not tribal friendly. Maybe an option in mod settings, to industrial or tribal/medieval playtrough ?

I kind of want to begin a career with Valve with my sole intention to make it to a powerful enough position to force the steam workshop to implement a "liking" system for comments so that I can come back and like the "thrumbow" comment.
