They can but it looks meh at best. These are not upscaled because they are the original images before compression.

Marvelous work! Like this you can appreciate how the art style of this icons are made! (a bit contrasted, grey scale and plain brushes made with MC Paint with a similar color to the original photo :cleandino::cleandino:)
