Auch auf deutsch?

Just a heads up for anyone interested in this mod...It's been my experience that this mod no longer work with the game. It might work for a little while but will eventually cause the game to be unplayable by bugging your saved games.

Hi there.

Great mod. Love the idea.

All of my american news reports from New York are coming on out of order. I am getting a steady stream of American reports from after they entered the war in 1939, including reports from the end of the war at the beginning of the war.

I haven't had the same trouble with other countries, but I am not sure if they are updating anymore.

Any idea in a systemic sense as to how this could occur?

Im getting radio messages for 1942 in 1939

The audio has not been normalized if there's a clear and easy way to do this for a few hundred songs automatically. I might be willing to do this.

Sorry I accidentally tapped delete on the last comment

22 June 1941 and the New York Radio broadcast for this day discusses President Truman and B-29 bombing attacks on Japan. Date pull is not correct for at least this file.

I'm going to need a reference to what you're talking about. If you want a better place to discuss open up a discussion thread
Okeanos 8 nov, 2023 @ 22:25
could you please let me know if you fixed the latest issues you said you will fix in comments in 2002?
McDewgle 1 apr, 2023 @ 17:28
@PzSniper, yes
PzSniper 1 apr, 2023 @ 16:39
Is it compatible with the new version 2022.1 Patch 21?

As far as the radio broadcast lasting into the 11th, I'll look into that as well
link  [skapare] 27 okt, 2022 @ 15:07
Yeah those mistake on my part. I'll look into fixing some of those

Hello. I am a bit worried. On the 3rd of sept 1939 i got audio radio messages for that date which was very cool. Its now the 11th Sept and i still have audio radio messages for the 3rd of sept. Should they not have been removed by now? Also every time i go back out to see i get a message saying Welcome to Expanded Messages. Any advice? i am scared to uninstall and re-install as i would then likely have to start a new game :(
timahoo 22 okt, 2022 @ 4:58
Confirmed working ok, took until the 29th September 1939 before I got the first radio message
link  [skapare] 21 okt, 2022 @ 17:50
small fixed needed - working on update
link  [skapare] 21 okt, 2022 @ 17:49
audio starts on the 3rd of sep 1939
tested in a new game with the required Expanded Radio installed I received audo transmissions on this date.
link  [skapare] 21 okt, 2022 @ 17:21
first radio broadcasts dont start until the 5-7th? I will look into issues with this mod tonight. sadly most of the updates have been pushed without testing due to numerous complaints, as well as the significant unity build times I have been facing (4+ hours) I have resolved a few project issues which should improve my iteration time. and ability to start testing again.
Kal 21 okt, 2022 @ 5:23
Fix pls? 💀
timahoo 21 okt, 2022 @ 4:42
I dont hear any broadcasts, which date is the first broadcast supposed to happen, and does it start playing automatically? I have '[2022.1] Expanded Radio Messages' installed also which appears to work, and started a new save game.
Juliusns 19 okt, 2022 @ 20:29
An amazing must have mod, thanks a lot.
link  [skapare] 5 okt, 2022 @ 12:53
Yep you got the exactly correct

To add audio to Ube you should only need this audio add-on mod

Technically I'm not even sure if expanded radio audio even contains any dependencies anymore.

Which might actually mean that I could be used as a standalone mod.
timahoo 5 okt, 2022 @ 10:08
I have Uboat Expanded which has Expanded Radio Messages combined into it, and recommends you do not install Expanded Radio Messages alongside Uboat Expanded, so would Expanded Radio Messages [Audio] work alongside Uboat Expanded if you dont also install Expanded Radio Messages? Does it recognise the dependecies correctly?

Enabled Preloading of Audio, this will reduce gameplay stutter from mod, but significantly increase memory requirments - lower end machines may experience crashes or large amounts of Pagefile usage.

@link, How you getting on with a fix for this mod..
Nosfer 😂👌🏻 22 nov, 2021 @ 11:53
Didn't new patch helped fixing this bug? Was hoping for it
mikeonmindy 21 nov, 2021 @ 20:14
I quite enjoy the Exp Radio Msg mod, thank you for your efforts to get it working.
link  [skapare] 21 nov, 2021 @ 18:57
yep, it is caused by the base Expanded Radio Message Mod, the vanilla radio audio (including this addon) breaks when these messages are added.

I am actually , as we speak still trying to fix this, ... attempt # 133 ....
AdorableSparrow 21 nov, 2021 @ 18:36
hmm Radio Compleatly broken for me doesint let it play any radio stations just stuck with cancel button
Nosfer 😂👌🏻 20 okt, 2021 @ 1:08
I can't say exact day but it was somewhere around 10-19 September 1939
link  [skapare] 19 okt, 2021 @ 16:18
The radio is supposed to be tired to a date.

However there could be an audio clip misplaced. What day was it in game if you can provide that at all. It would help
Nosfer 😂👌🏻 19 okt, 2021 @ 10:22
Are news supposed to be tied to date? Because I got news of Roosevelt dying in 1939...
Sam Wise 7 okt, 2021 @ 23:49
New game session or docking at port seems to reset and makes it work.
Sam Wise 7 okt, 2021 @ 23:46
Eh, no.

Seems it breaks down after the radioguy leaves the station. It works at start of a gaming session, and as soon the radio guy leaves it goes to [1. Cancel] option only.
Sam Wise 7 okt, 2021 @ 22:39
It seems to be working now! :D
Sam Wise 7 okt, 2021 @ 11:34
ah, I'm glad to be of any help I can. :)

Thanks for your awesome mods! Keep up the good job!!
link  [skapare] 7 okt, 2021 @ 10:46
Thank you Uncle Sam that is actually quite helpful to know might be able to pass this along to the devs help better identify the issue
Sam Wise 7 okt, 2021 @ 7:43
Seems the radio stations bug comes after the radio guy leaves the radio - after leaving the port.
When the radio guy goes back you only get [1. Cancel] as options of avalible radio channels.
link  [skapare] 28 sep, 2021 @ 19:48
looking into another possible cause for this bug. keep your fingers crossed
Zerberr 28 sep, 2021 @ 16:47
Yeah, it also happens when this mod is disabled. Bummer,it was one of the main highlights of the game, to listen to actual transmissions on actual dates. Hope devs will fix it sooner than later
link  [skapare] 28 sep, 2021 @ 14:30
This bug came around with the b129 release I did post a bug report to the devs about it however I haven't gotten much response

I've implemented a few attempted fixes none of which have worked

As of right now it seems that radio stations periodically appear and disappear it usually takes at least a day of in-game play for the issue to resolve itself however it quickly comes back at random intervals.
I suspect it deals with the fact that some radio stations don't have any data to broadcast on specific days and causes a bug in the UI however even some of my fixes to this suspected cause has not resolved the issue.
There's no harm in submitting an f11 report with this mod as the bug is sourced from the vanilla code
Buell 28 sep, 2021 @ 11:35
@link, just curious about this being fixed so it will function with b129 and UBE. I'm sure you're working on other great things for UBOAT but I'm having the same issue of having available stations to listen yet 1.cancel is only option in radioman interface.
Buell 26 sep, 2021 @ 21:12
im getting options for radio stations to listen to but no option to choose any station for music...thoughts?
Zerberr 24 sep, 2021 @ 23:21
However when next transmission came, it wasn't replicated. Still empty music menu.
Zerberr 24 sep, 2021 @ 23:15
@link, I think it might have something to do with transmissions from BDU (separate mod). All of the sudden all options in music menu reappeared right after I got notification of incoming transmission. So I enabled music, left menu, returned to menu (all options are still there), received transmission from BDU and bam, everything gone from music.
McDewgle 22 sep, 2021 @ 9:12
It means Link forgot to change a version number, that's it. The mod still works just fine.
Are Risnes 22 sep, 2021 @ 8:56
Yes, but you have to put your trust in me :steamthis:
